Aloha Wilma... On Friday, December 8, our Beloved Community said Aloha to Wilma Juanita Oksendahl. Born February 5, 1926, Wilma was a world traveler, a teacher, a fearless ad- venturer who would try anything. She de- cided to skydive when she was 85. Wilma’s niece Julie wrote: “Wilma taught students from New York City to Germa- ny, Afghanistan to Columbia, South America and throughout the Hawaiian Islands, where she retired and lived until 2016. Though she never married, she loved all children. Her family was her church family of the First Unitarian Church of Honolulu.” Wilma died in Southern Pines, North Carolina, July 27, 2017 at the age of 91.
