WELCOME! This year we invite you to join us at the Cadbury’s Easter Egg Hunt in aid of Barnardos, with a very special appearance from the Easter Bunny himself. The last two years have seen the development of an event that offers a curated collection of family orientated activities, bringing Cadbury’s key message of JOY to families in Dublin on the Easter weekend. This year we want to innovaate and improve upon all areas of the event, and exceed attendees’ high expectations from previous years. We are committed to ensuring that not just the levels of creativity and design are increased, but that all areas of the event – dressing, branding, site services – are maintained and developed further to ensure we deliver an event that exemplifies the Cadbury brand.

THE CADBURY’S EASTER EGG HUNT In 2015, we transformed Merrion Square for the Cadbury’s Easter Egg Trail for Barnardos Ireland. We had 3,500 people join us for an egg-stra special family day out, with a bubble dome, hula hoop disco, bunny photo booth and of course, the Easter Egg trail winding around the park. This year we are looking to improve on the overall experience for our guests, with special attention being paid to more detailed dressing, cohesive branding, and increased interactivity.



SITE DRESSING The Easter Bunny likes the park so much he’s decided to set up home there. But as this isn’t one regular bunny, then this isn’t one regular burrow. Our Easter Bunny likes his comforts, so his house comes with it’s own round door, round window and even a chimney puffing out bunny clouds. If you pop by and he’s not in, don’t worry; you can always leave him a little note for later in his letter box!



Of course, the chimney on the Easter Bunny’s house is a little bit magical. He burns special logs that produce bunny and easter shaped clouds, that will float over the heads of everyone visiting him that day.

Rather than the ubiquitous white marquee - structures used on site will be a mixture of tipis, yurts and stretch tents, with interior linings and hessian floors, adding a rustic feel whilst also providing cover from the elements.



LARGE DRESSING Custom Cadbury Inflatables will provide large branding installations whilst also being re-usable for future events. A giant Cadbury Easter Egg will be floating high above the park, popping up from a stretch of inflatable grass and acting as a directional beacon for families approaching the venue. The inflatable Cadbury Dairy Milk Bunny will also be trying (and failing) to hide his 5m frame amongst the trees – if only he was made of real chocolate!

The parks flora and fauna will become larger-than-life - with oversized flowers, grass and butterflies popping up around the lawns. A carousel with 20 butterflies 4m high will catch the guests eyes with its bright colours and gentle rippling in the wind.

EASTER EGG MAKING MACHINE All these delicious eggs don’t just come from nowhere – they have to be made - and our Easter Bunny is a bunny, not an Easter hen! So located in the final Tipi will be the Cadbury Easter Egg Making Machine, showing kids the mechanics of making delicious chocolate eggs.

ACTIVITIES Guests will be invited to ‘Earn your Ears!’ by trying their hand at our vintage carnival games - all with an Easter twist! Hoopla with the Cadbury Bunny, Hook-a-duck, Easter Egg Shy and more will offer everyone a chance to show off their skills and win Cadbury prizes, including the all important bunny ears!



In our scuplture park Victorian games are updated using a collection of recycled and found materials to create unique installations. The collection 'Sculpture Scribble' reimagines more than 30 famous sculptures as interactive games for all ages.

PETTING ZOO The Easter Bunny will be joined by some of his animal friends; not just rabbits but chickens, sheep, goats and even a llama! Our petting zoo has everyone’s farmyard favourites, so whether you want to butt heads with a goat, or cuddle your very own Easter Bunny, we’ve got you covered. Kids and big kids alike will love these furry friends.

BUNNY BUILDER Anyone who wants to really immerse themselves in the Easter fun can put themselves through the Cadbury Bunny Builder. Human kids go in one side of our magical machine and come out the other side as rabbits compleate with ears, a cotton tail and a bunny face!

EGG PAINTING If you want to show off your artistic flair why not paint and decorate your own Easter Eggs in our Arts & Crafts area?!

BARNARDO’S TENT The Barnardos tent will be part of the action, with a storyteller on call at all times to delight children with enchanting tales of Easter magic. And any kids of an artisitic disposition will be able to see their creations come to life with the ColAR drawing station, which turns 2D coloured drawings into moving 3D animations!

SPORTS DAY Classic 'Sports Day' races will be part of the call to action for everyone to 'Earn your Ears'. The sack, egg and spoon, and wheelbarrow races will all be joined by the bunny hop to encourage everyone to get involved and demonstrate their rabbit athlecticism!

THE EASTER EGG HUNT The Main Event! This year we will be asking families to work a little harder, with interactive questions and tasks on the Easter Egg Hunt. At the start each participant will be given a map and a little drawstring bag. Every point on the hunt will be manned by a Cadbury volunteer and upon completing the required task, participants will be given one piece of jigsaw. As they continue completing more tasks, they can collect the pieces in their drawstring bag, to keep safe until the very end. Once the hunt is finished, there will be a designated jigsaw area in the final tipi. Here everyone will be able to piece their puzzle together, and present the finished jigsaw to collect their Cadbury Egg prize.

HOW MANY CARROTS ARE IN THE EASTER BUNNYS GAR-

SAMPLE TASKS! 'Do your best bunny impression' Apart from distributing jigsaw pieces, our volunteers will also be judges for certain tasks. They’ll need to take their job seriously – kids will need to show their best twitchy noses and hoppiest hops if they want to get their jigsaw completed!

SAMPLE TASKS! 'Pull down the balloons to find the question' Ten large purple helium balloons, but which one has the question you need? Participants will need to pull down the balloons to find the question before they can answer it. Once they’ve found it and answered correctly, our volunteer will reward their efforts with the all important jigsaw piece.

BRANDING Branding will be custom designed and re-usable to ensure a cohesive branding aesthetic which can be retained for future events. • The carnival games, bunny maker, photo booth, baby changing unit and both entrances will be Cadbury branded purple 3x3m marquees. • 30 x 3m high branded feather flags will continue the brand aesthetic in key areas • The signage from last year will be rewrapped to reflect the new branding whilst saving some costs. • The new Cadbury Dairy Milk Bunny will be incorporated into the carnival games finish, as well as appearing throughout the park. Leading up to the park, the odd lamp post will have an Easter Bunny peeping out from behind.

PERFORMERS One yurt will house our Funny Bunny Magic Show, where rabbits in a top hat are always welcome. Also rambling about the park will be our bunny-eared MC on stilts who will be striking up conversations 10 feet high, so make sure you talk nice and loud or he may not hear you, even with those ears!

PERFORMERS The Easter Bunny won’t be celebrating the Easter weekend alone. His bunny buddies will be joining him, and they love to meet new people! In amongst the trees a couple of shy squirrels are looking for somewhere to hide their nuts safely, they are more concerned about their acorns than chocolate (they are the only ones)! Those on the Easter Egg Hunt will bump into some agitated explorers looking for 'it'. They don’t what 'it' is, but than that’s all part of the adventure. And helping us keep the park clean will be a litter sweeper and his friendly fox assistant, teaching kids the importance of taking care of the enviroment.
