Protective Clothing for Different Treatments The clients comfort begins with the proper size and selection of protective clothing that he/she will use. One should be able to provide all types and size of protective equipment. You should always consider all body types to be able to provide the appropriate clothing for each type/size/built. Description of tools Gloves - preventive clothing use to avoid direct contact from excessive amounts of chemicals. Gown/Plastic Cape/Apron - used to protect clothes from falling hair and hair products. Must come in all sizes for each body type. Neck Tissue - used to protect the neck from falling hair and to avoid itchiness. Velcro Headband - to protect the face from water, hair, and hair products/chemical treatments. Safety Goggles - serves as the shield of the eye from harmful chemical fumes. Face Mask - to help reduce chemical fumes from inhalation. Close toed shoes - to protect toes/feet from accidental falling of tools. Examples are rubber shoes, black shoes, etc. 7
