Industrial Housing, Talegaon. Semester : VI Location : Maharashtra, India. Year : 2017-2018 Category : Residential. Rapid population growth has redefined the idea of mass housing globally. Talegaon in Pune, Maharashtra, is one such example of this unilateral development that requires a new narrative.Talegaon MIDC is multiplying, which requires more houses to leave around the area. The brief of the project revolves around creating industrial housing for the population working there, categorized in three different classes, i.e., LIG, MIG, HIG. The design is evolved to enhance the social connection between users. All the modules are designed considering the degree of privacy and openness. The central passage on every floor act as a catalyst for social interaction, promoting the sense of community in this isolated site. The building’s orientation and placement make it user-friendly and have easy accessibility to spaces like swimming pool, garden, and commercial area. And they are connected to the central water channel. The project has a maximum built-up area of ------ sq. mt., built in a precast modular structure, creating a cost-effective and functional building.
