Welcome to my Geography ELP Project

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT I would like to express my special thanks of gratitude to my teacher Mrs. Mayuri Rastogi who gave me the golden opportunity to do this wonderful project of Geography on “ Water Bodies & The landforms of Earth ”,who also helped in completing my project. I came to know so many new things & facts. I am really thankful to her. Secondly I would also like to thank my parents & friends who helped me in finalizing the project in the little time frame.

Water Facts kkl ★ ★ Earth is also called the blue planet ★ 71% of the earth is covered by Earth ★ 97% of the Earth’s water is in the oceans ★ Only 3% of the Earth’s water is in the lakes streams & ponds ★ Water is made up of 2 basic elements oxygen & hydrogen . ★ Chemical for water is H2O

Q. What makes our Earth a liveable planet ? .Ans. Earth has oxygen, water and temperature. Air water and temperature are in balanced proportions in our planet and support life. All these conditions which are supporting life, like presence of water and air in a good proportion, presence of life supporting gas and balanced temperature make earth a unique & liveable planet.

Q. Why is Earth called the Blue Planet ? Ans. Planet Earth has been called the \"Blue Planet\" due to the abundant water on its surface. Here on Earth, we take liquid water for granted; after all, our bodies are mostly made of water. However, liquid water is a rare commodity in our solar system.

What is the percentage of Water & Land on the Earth ? Ans. The percentage of water on the Earth is 71% & the percentage of land on the Earth is 21%.

What efforts can be made by humans for environmental protection ?

How are the Earth resources exploited for human use ? The exploitation of natural resources is the use of natural resources for accompanying environmental degradation. It started to emerge on an industrial scale in the 19th century as the extraction and processing of raw materials (such as in mining, steam power, and machinery) developed much further than it had in preindustrial areas. During the 20th century, energy consumption rapidly increased. Today, about 80% of the world's energy consumption is sustained by the extraction of fossil fuels, which consists of oil, coal and natural gas. For example oxygen. It is also a natural resource but exploited for human use.

Research about the Earth Day The first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970, when a United States senator from Wisconsin organized a national demonstration to raise awareness about environmental issues. Rallies took place across the country and, by the end of the year, the U.S. government had created the Environmental Protection Agency.Earth Day always falls on April 22.Earth Day went global in 1990. It now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally by EarthDay.org (formerly Earth Day Network) including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries.

Bibliography I took help from many E-books, webpages & websites, Google and many more. Some of the webpages, websites and others are : ❖ Brainly.in ❖ Wikipedia ❖ Huffpost ❖ You tube ❖ Schoology.com.
