Taqueria La Cumbre Thanks for the Travel Channel (Man vs. Food and Food Paradise) for pointing us in the right direction for some burritos! Taqueria la Cumbre takes credit for the first “mission-style burrito,” which is known for its large size and how unique each one is because of your choice in toppings. The atmosphere was very laid back and easy. The food was amazing. Definitely a great place to eat when in the area!

The chicken burrito was SO good and I loved being able to order the toppings I wanted (only). The chips were fresh and the Coke just sealed the deal!

Tartine Bakery and Cafe Tartine was recommended on the show, The Best Thing I Ever Ate so I made sure to add it to my Google Trips map. Luckily, as we were exploring the Mission District, we were able to stop in. The recommended item from the show was the chocolate croissant. I split one with my friend and we both agreed it was DELICIOUS! It was light and the chocolate was so tasty It would have been a lovely spot to enjoy some coffee and a book too.

Dottie’s True Blue Cafe Overrated dining. We waited 2 hours for food as our seating was continuously overlooked for big parties of men. Waiting in line on the side of the building with prostitutes, drug deals, and urinating killed our appetite and experience. Skip this one!

Napa Valley Burger Co. in Sausalito Napa Valley was recommended to us by Dylan Tours when we picked up our bikes. The food was really good. The burger was fresh and they had fun, unique toppings but my favorite was the truffle fries! One order is big enough to split, so you Heads Up: Napa Valley isn’t for the bargain tourists, tho. Our meal was about definitely wouldn’t need $50/person w/ an alcoholic beverage & tip. multiple orders for two people.

Top of the Mark What a beautiful way to unwind after a touristy day! Top of the Mark is near Chinatown, at the very top of a grand hotel. The waiters are nice, drinks are tasty, and conversations are lively. After the sun sets, a neat way to see the lights of the city too. Like fruity drinks? Try the “Golden Gate”

Novela As a book nerd, you can only imagine how excited I was when I looked up the “coolest bars in San Francisco” and found one with a literary theme! It was very posh but also had a laid back vibe. There were no waitresses and it was busy so we missed out on the food but the drinks were STRONG and fit the concept perfectly. I enjoyed my Jay Gatsby's!

The Buena Vista Thanks to Google Trips, I was able to see that Buena Vista, home of the famous Irish Coffee, was close by when visiting Ghirardelli Square. It was a vibrant bar, though a bit touristy. The bartenders were great and the dark wood created an environment that reminded me of Cheers. A nice, casual bar to spend a night, or even an hour.

Golden State Cider Like drinking local? Try Golden State Cider. It was very refreshing after a lot of walking in Chinatown. I recommend trying one at The Devil’s Acre, a bar across the street from City Lights Books. The bartenders were great, and so were the bathrooms!

Thanks to Google Trips I City Lights Booksellers pinned some local bookstores to visit. City Lights Books was AMAZING! While there, I bought paperback copies of Americanah and 1Q84. I know, I showed major restraint! I loved that it was a short walk from Chinatown and surrounded by bars since we were ready to get off our feet for a minute. This amazing street art is right around 261 Columbus Avenue at Broadway, San Francisco, CA 94133 the corner on the wall to the left of the phone: (415) 362-8193 • fax: (415) 362- 4921 • Open daily 10 am to midnight photo.

Book Lovers! GREAT SOUVENIRS! Parents & teachers, there is a middle PS: Do you see these amazing grade mystery series featuring Al photo backgrounds for family Capone and 3 out of 4 in the series are sold on the island. They are photos? HILARIOUS! I had to get them! Alcatraz Federal Prison
