Name of Game: Your Complete Game Guide Welcome to Asia Edition! Do you have what it takes to be the next ultimate global business leader?

Name What is it about? <Name of game> is a role play business-themed board game that mainly aims to simulate and mimic real world global business transactions, while at the same time, adding thrill and excitement to the players as they travel and witness the wonders of the different countries in Asia. This educational game involves the players role playing as businessmen/investors whose origins are from different countries in the said region. The main idea of the game is for the players to complete a set of tasks listed in their own unique travel portfolio, which can only be achieved once they reach the indicated destinations of each task scattered around the board or map. For the players to accomplish the tasks, they need to travel around Asia and engage in additional transactions or negotiations along the way. The first player to complete all the tasks in his portfolio wins the game. This game is ideal for business students, given that it teaches the players the different skills needed in engaging in business transactions such as establishing transactions, making mutually fair negotiations, keeping communication lines open, keeping an open mind, and decision making. Aside from business students, the game can also be beneficial for other business enthusiasts as it also highlights the importance of globalization and the importance of trade between and among countries.

Name Game Set-up Each player is randomly given a portfolio with a list of tasks assigned to him. Each task is located in different locations in the map. This cannot be shared with anyone. Each player must take turns rolling the dice. Player with the highest number goes first in placing his game piece in a country of his choice. This goes on for the other players until all have chosen their countries/starting points. Each player is also given different amounts of money which is determined by spinning a wheel before the start of the game in the same order as Game Setup #2 earlier. Each player also has access to travel brochures of each country, wherein basic information about the country is provided (e.g. main economic activity, product, prevailing business culture of the people in the country, etc.) This can be accessed by scaning the QR code found in each country on the map. A pile of action cards and another pile of negotiation cards are placed above the board game where all players have access to whenever they land on an action spot or negotiation spot on the map.

Name Mechanics Each player rolls a dice to determine their starting points. The player with the highest number chooses first. He can place his game piece on any country of his choice. This goes on until all players have chosen their countries. If in case of a tie with the number, players can play rock-paper-scissors to determine who goes first. The first player then rolls the dice again to determine how many destination points he can travel. These destination points are represented by the green and yellow circles along the red travel paths in the map. If the player lands on a green circle, he does not need to do anything. He will wait until all the other players have finished taking their turns. If the player lands on a yellow circle, this is called an “action spot” wherein the player must randomly get two action cards from the pile above the board game and choose which card he would like to accomplish. He must accomplish this task for him to be able to move on. If the task cannot be done (e.g. due to lack of money, etc.), he must return to his country or his starting point. After completing the task, the other players can proceed to taking their turns.

Name Mechanics If the player finally reaches one of his destinations as indicated in his portfolio of tasks, he must shout “touchdown!” to signal the other players that they should pay attention to him as he accomplishes his task. The player may choose to directly complete his task as indicated in the portfolio or he may also get two cards from the pile of negotiation cards and choose which one he would like to use to negotiate with the other players. Aside from this, he may also freely negotiate with the rest of the players and make a deal with them. If the player fails to do so (e.g. lack of money, negotiation did not go well, etc.), he will stay in that location and will lose 2 turns. A boarding pass will be given to the player for every successful task completed per location, representing the number of countries with successful fulfillment of tasks. If the player draws a spot it card, the group of players will need to play a round of spot it. Each player will be given 7 cards where each card has an icon that is related to each Central American country. The player that draws the spot it card will lay out his or her first card. Afterwards, the next player will look at his or her own card and try to spot a similar icon to the previously drawn spot it card and put it on top. Once the player spots a similar icon to the previously drawn card, he or she will need to point out what is similar and say how that icon is related to any of the Central American countries. This will go on until all cards have been put down. Mechanics 2-4 are repeated until a player accomplishes all tasks in his portfolio. First to do so wins the game.
