John first picked up a firearm under the strict supervision of his Grandfather when he was just able to hold one and fire it by himself. He spent many years in the wide-open spaces with his Grandfather learning to respect firearms and to safely and properly handle them. In later years his interest remained and he became a NRA Certified Firearms Instructor.John also instructs throughout Southern California on the safe and proper useof a wide variety of firearms.

ServiceBeginning Firearms TrainingCost: $150.00 (2 hour session) Beginner Firearms Training courses are available by an appointment only. I offer a special rate of $150.00 for a two hour session which includes the following: 1 hour of classroom instruction which will primarily go over safety and marksmanship skills and 1 hour of actual range time firing a handgun, rifle or shotgun. Which include your targets, range time, 1 box of ammunition, gun rental and the instructor for the entire session. This class is excellent for people who:  Are interested in guns for self- defense, especially survivors of assault or those who are targets for crime (women, disabled, elderly)  Seek stress reduction (enjoy euphoric rushes of energy combined with inner peacefulness — much like yoga)  If you have never seen, handled, or fired a gun before  People who have never had any formal firearm instruction before.

Intermediate Firearms TrainingCost: $50.00 hr I also offer a one-to-one intermediate handgun, rifle or shotgun class. This may be a refresher course for those who have had some training in the past or just need a fine tune-up. This class costs $50.00 per hour and you will need to pay your range fees, gun rentals, targets and ammunition separately.
