Second Life, December 18, 2015 A few days ago we received a message stating that MISS SL Academy is among the winners for the Brazil inSL “Best Modelling Academy 2015” award and would be awarded a beautiful trophy, in the shape of the rhombus that we all know from the Brazilian flag. MISS SL Organization was created just one year ago, along with MISS SL Academy. We never expected to receive an award after such a short space time; this trophy honours and acknowledges the hard work that our academy team has done since it was founded. It is a special tribute to each of the instructors that this award has been achieved. We believe that MISS SL Academy will continue to grow and flourish, due to the selfless dedication of people to the success of the MISS SL Organization, especially the individual models who have studied and graduated from MISS SL Academy. Being a teacher means much more than providing instruction by repeating the same phrases over and over. It means being a mentor, a friend, a guardian, a confidant and ideally as part of a family even. It means to accompany a student during their entire journey, as they discover the various possibilities our virtual fashion and modelling world has to offer. Often the mentorship does not end with the graduation, but goes much further and turns into a lasting friendship. Within the MISS SL Organization, we viewour students and graduates of MISS SL Academy as part of a constantly growing and evolving community and family, supporting each other to become the best each of us can be.
