DHWANI 2021-2022 Dear Students I wish you and your family a very Happy New Year and I hope you are all doing well and safe. I would like to share with you the importance of ‘being healthy’. Health, according to WHO, is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity. We are all passing through difficult times which has even changed our whole life style. Generally people blame the restrictions imposed due to the pandemic as a reason for not doing exercises to keep oneself fit. However, there are various options available for those who really want to keep themselves fit, such as online videos, digital classes etc. Let us try to make use of all available opportunities to keep ourselves mentally and physically healthy. Yoga, meditation, prayer, controlled diet, listening to others’ experiences, positive thinking, getting creatively engaged in one’s own hobbies etc, will help us to be mentally healthy. Acts of empathy, ability to communicate effectively, care and concern shown towards fellow humans and for protection of nature and natural resources will all contribute to our social well-being. Instead of blaming, people and circumstances let us try to spread happiness and positivity. Dear children, don’t forget, as social beings, we can be happy only if people around us are happy and healthy.
