A Word from the General Manager This Resource Guide has been designed to provide the reader with a general overview of theVillages Golf and Country Club. It is intended to highlight various advantages of being, and be-coming, a Villager. Since 1967 The Villages Golf and Country Club has been in a constant state of evolution.Comprised of 12 distinct residential districts, The Villages presents a neighborhood suited for ev-eryone. From the quaint Cribari condominiums, to the spacious hilltop-view villas in Valle Vista, the beauty of The Villages is its diversity—not just in terms of real estate, but also in terms of itspeople, activities, and lifestyle. Many Villagers say it’s Silicon Valley’s best kept secret. With only 2,536 available residences, becoming a Villager is considered by many to be acoveted accomplishment, and here’s why… There are very few communities remaining in our country (let alone the Bay Area) thatepitomize the word “community” in every sense. The Villages Golf and Country Club is one ofthose communities. A feeling of comfort and safety is what all Villagers feel every time they passthrough the front gates coming home. “It’s a safe place,” they say—a place to which they love toreturn when venturing out. Our community provides friendships, support, activities, amenities, unlimited social and educational opportunities and a nearly maintenance-free lifestyle outside thehome, all of which makes Villagers feel they are part of something very special. Villagers them-selves will tell you “it’s the best place I’ve ever lived.” As General Manager, I take great pride in managing a team of employees who are committedto providing exceptional customer service from every level of the organization. We enjoy contrib-uting to the lives of all Villagers and look forward to raising the curtain every morning so that thecommunity can be enjoyed as it was intended. If you are a Villager, you know what it means to be one. If you’re not a Villager, take the timeto find out why everyone else believes it’s one of the best communities in the country. Come seefor yourself why Villagers never want to leave. “A healthy social life is found only, when in the mirror of each soul the whole community finds itsreflection, and when in the whole community the virtue of each one is living.”This is The Villages. — Darren Shaw, General Manager 5
