रंगछटा या पावसाच्या. . कचऱ्याचा खराब वास यणे ्यापासनू तर .! अपघात होण्यापयतं . पण या सगळ्या पाऊस हा शब्द उच्चारला तर लगचे आपल्या चेहऱ्यावर यणे ार गोष्टीं साठी खरच पाऊस जवाबदार आहे अलगदस हसू पावसाळ्याबद्दलची आपलु की व्यक्त करून जाते! पण खरंच का बरं हा का? तर नाही! आपण सवानं ी हे लक्षात पाऊस असतो का एवढा गोड? या प्रश्नाचे उत्तर प्रत्यके व्यक्ती व त्याच्या व्यक्तक्तमत्वा घणे गरजचे ं आहे की या सगळ्या अडचणी वर अवलबं ून आह.े आपल्यामळु ेच आहते फक्त पाऊस हे पाऊस बरसताच काही लोकानं ा त्याचं ्या बालपणीच्या आठवणी क्तनक्तमत्त आहे आक्तण तो आपल्याला या जाग्या होतात. त्या माणसाला काळाच्या ओघात मागे घऊे न जातात. तर काही आपल्या चकु ाचं ी तीव्रतने े जाणीव करून लोक या सदुं र पावसाचा आस्वाद चहा आक्तण भजी यासं ोबत घणे पसंत करतात. दते ो मग ते कचरा व्यवस्थापनातील खरे तर माझ्या मते पाऊस ही फक्त एक घटना नसनू ती एक आयषु ्यभर आपल्या अपयश असो ककं वा क्तनकृ ष्ट दजााचे रस्ता, सोबत असणारी आठवणींची क्तशदोरी आह.े ककती चागं लं झालं असत ना! जर बाधं काम असो! ते म्हणतात ना \"क्तजथे आपल्या जीवनातला प्रत्यके जण पावसासारखा स्वछंदी आक्तण क्तनखळ चागं ल्या गोष्टी आल्या क्ततथे त्याचे मनाचा असता, मनात काहीही न ठेवता बरसनू जाणारा, तर हे जग ककती सदंु र दषु ्पररणामही आलचे , मग याला ती गोष्ट झाले असते ना...! स्वता: जवाबदार असो ककं वा अजून बऱ्याच लोकांना पाऊस म्हटं ले की चीड यते े पण त्यानं ी या काही!\" मागच कारण समजनू घणे गरजेचे आह,े अनके लोकानं ा पाऊस न आवडण्याचे जर प्रमाणापेक्षा जास्त कारण म्हणजे दनै कं दन जीवनातील छोट्या मोठ्या अडचणीमध्ये होणारी वाढ मग ते पाऊस झाला की आजकालची क्तपढी तर अनभु व म्हणनू साठवायचा असले , तर तो या डोळ्यांच्या कॅ मऱे ्यामध्ये तो क्तललक वगे ळ्याच चचतं ते असत,े वीज जाते. ती करायला हवा. हे आजच्या क्तपढी ने क्तशकायला हवे. गले ्यामळु े बऱ्याचदा त्यानं ा त्याचं ्या आपल्यासारखाच अजनू एक मोबाइलची चचतं ा सतावत असते, तो बदं व्यक्ती आहे जो साधी गार वाऱ्याची झळु ूक जरी आली, ढग काळसर जरी झाले तर तर नाही ना पडणार याची काळजी त्यानं ा एखादा सन ककं वा उत्सवा प्रमाणे तयारीला लागलले ी असते. पण आजच्या क्तपढीतील मलु ानं ा हे समजायला हवे की समोर घडत असलले ा नयन रम्य असा क्षण मोबाइलच्या कॅ मऱे ्यापेक्षा जास्त डोळ्यामं ध्ये साठवला तर त्याचा आनदं कईक पटीने वाढतो, याचे कारण असे की, ककतीही काहीही झाले तरी ते आहे तर शवे टी एक यंत्रच. त्यामळु े ते यंत्र, तो क्षण, एक फोटो म्हणनू च साठवू शकतो. पण जर तो क्षण एक लागतो आक्तण तो दसु रा क्ततसरा कोणी नसनू स्वत:हा आपला अन्नदाता म्हणजचे शेतकरी. हा शते करी पाऊस यणे ार याची जाणीव होताच तो लगचे एका नवीन उमदे ीने शते ात सज्ज होऊन शेतीची कामे सुरू करतो. त्यावळे ी त्याचा चहे रा, त्याच्या चहे ऱ्यावरील आनदं हा बघण्यासारखा असतो. त्याच्या

चहे ऱ्यावरची ती लगबघ आक्तण प्रसन्नता एकदम प्रफु क्तल्लत होऊन जाते. खरंच या पाहून आपला चहे रा, आपले मनही पावसाच्या रंगछटा वगे ळ्याचं असतात!

The Ideal Village – Hiware Bazar Pragma Magotra, 12th div-E Before telling you an inspiring tale of this beautiful village, I would like to explain the concept of rainwater harvesting. Rainwater harvesting is the simple process or technology used to conserve rainwater by collecting, storing and conveying. They purify the rainwater that runs off from the rooftops, roads and open ground for later use. The rainwater harvesting system is one of the best method practised and followed to support

the conservation of water. Today, scarcity of good quality water has become a significant cause of concern. However, rainwater, which is pure and of good quality can be used for irrigation, washing, cleaning, bathing, cooking and also for livestock requirements. Hiware Bazar a village that has fought a drought lies in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra, India. It is noted for its irrigation system and water conservation. This village was developed by the Hiware Bazar’s sarpanch Popat Rao Pawar. Around 50 families have an annual income above Rs.10 lakh. You must be wondering how did this drastic change has occurred? So following are the activities which changed the face of Hiware Bazar. •Digging continuous contour trenches (CCTs) •Storing rainwater •Building check dams •building percolation tanks •Plantation on the unused farm lands and roadsides •Building loose boulder shutter etc. Now, let me tell you the small story of hardships and strategies which ensure the success to this village. Hiware Bazar lies in the drought-prone Ahemednagar district. Prior to 1989,the village was facing several problems such as migration of the villagers to the nearby urban areas, high crime and scarcity of water. It was the labourers from the village itself who built the structure thereby improving livelihood. In 1990,when Popat Rao Pawar was elected as a sarpanch. The villagers implemented a drip irrigation system to conserve water and soil and to increase the food production. They avoided crops like sugarcane and banana, which require high usage of water. The programme included rainwater harvesting and CCTs around the hill contours to trap water, afforestation and building of percolation tanks. These initiatives were complemented by a program for social change, which included a ban on liquor,

adaption of family planning, mandating HIV/AIDS testing before marriages and Shramdaan. These initiatives greatly improved the socio- economic conditions in the village and it was declared as an “Ideal Village” by the government of Maharashtra, at the “National Ground Water Congress” held in New Delhi on 11 sept 2007, this village received the “National Water Award” by the government of India. This all Happened due coordination of local people, NGOs, Gram Panchayat and the State government. From this I can conclude that the Unity is the strength when there is teamwork and collaboration, things can be achieved. We must learn to conserve water and should not waste even a single drop of it. The efforts which the villagers have put together to make this village beautiful and progressive are really commendable.

Also when the atmospheric pressure changes, the amount of fluid in the joints, or the pressure inside them fluctuates with it. 4.Myth: You will catch a cold and flu if you get drenched in the rains.  Fact: false. It has been a long-running belief that people catch a cold whenever they get drenched during the rains. While this statement may be partially true, the fact is that it’s the fluctuation in your surrounding temperatures that leads to you developing a cold. 5. Myth: Sitting under a fan or an AC vent when drenched in the rain gives you fever .  Fact: false. Our immunity tends to go down with sudden changes in temperature, leaving the body vulnerable to attacks from the cold virus. This may explain why we often fall prey to the common cold during rains and in winter.
