Attention Youth MembersBecome a FREE US Equestrian Fan Member & Join the Lettering Program! You no longer have to be a record setting quarterback or captain of the cheerleading team to earn a junior high or high school varsity letter. Join the US Equestrian Lettering program to be recognized for your dedication to the equestrian sport! As you will see from the quotes below, this program has been life changing for those who have participated: “Your Program inspired my daughter to strive in her sport of choice. Her peers never took her sport seriously until she was awarded a varsity letter from her high school due to your program. She is now moving up to compete in the inter-collegiate dressage arena and I believe you played a big part in that, as well. I hope this program continues to be available to all of those little girls (and boys) with the love to ride and the heart to compete.Thank you for such an amazing program!” “I just want to say I really appreciate the existence of this program. Nowadays colleges definitely want to see that kids participated in a “serious” or dedicated activity during their high school years. With riding, it can be hard to show the level of commitment— i.e., that they did more than just dabble in an occasional trail ride. This provides a concrete way to present riding as a serious sport equivalent to more traditional sports like soccer or tennis.Thank you for having this program!” Use the exclusive promo code below to receive a FREE US Equestrian Fan Membership and join the Lettering program today! Promo Code: ASPC18 The US Equestrian Lettering program recognizes the achievement of students and their devotion to the sport of equestrian. With nearly 17,000 students enrolled since the program began in 2010, more and more equestrians are receiving the recognition they deserve for their devotion to the sport. The program recognizes and honors equestrians in grades five to 12. To be eligible, a student must: • Be a US Equestrian member (Fan or Competing) • Log 100 hours of equestrian activity (which includes the competitions below) • Compete at three competitions of any type or level (shows do not have to be USEF) • Submit proof of enrollment in schoolStudents receive an achievement certificate, a free letterman patch and a lapel pin for each year that they complete the program’s requirements. Additionally, students can purchase US Equestrian Lettering merchandise, including a US Equestrian Letterman Jacket. Royalty Update ASPC/AMHR/ASPR Queen, Audrey Halcomb Hi Everyone! My name is Audrey Halcomb, your 2018 Registry Queen. Raised in the heart of Kentucky in a small town called Somerset, my love for small equine bloomed at the age of 11. Seeing them at my local county fair, I knew I had to have one and from the beginning I knew they would have my heart forever. Starting with my first Miniature “Lightening”, I knew driving was my calling. He taught me so much. Way more than I probably ever taught him and I’m so thankful! Now 8 years later, I have trained my own Res. National Champion driving horse! Who knew I’d make it this far. To this day I still learn something new every time I walk in the barn! I’m so excited to go on this new adventure with the American Shetland Pony Club, Inc. and take every opportunity to learn along the way. I plan on spreading the word on how awesome these horses are at local events and, of course, will be looking forward to representing them at the ASPC/ASPR Congress and AMHR Nationals. I’m looking forward to the fun times and friendships to come. I’m honored to be your 2018 Queen and wish you all a happy show season! Want to Become a Royal Member of ASPC/AMHR/ASPR? Applications for Junior Royalty and Senior Royalty are now being accepted If you are knowledgeable about ASPC/ AMHR/ASPR registries and the breeds we represent, conduct yourself in a manner that is a good role model for our youth, and like presenting awards and ribbons - you might make a great Queen, Ambassador, Princess or Jr. Ambassador!
