Mr. Kaisar Dopaishi, Principal of Singapore International School, Mumbai with Mrs. Bothra, Executive Director of the school, during his visit to Bodhi.
Achievements Accolades in Sports Victory, Well DeservedVedanti Dave Adityalekshmi Parihan Dave\"It is a proud moment for the school to celebrate the achievements of itsproficient swimmers. Parihan Dave is adorned with gold medals in 50 mtrsbackstroke and 50 mtrs freestyle, and a bronze in 50 mtrs breaststroke. She hasnot only been awarded as the Best Swimmer trophy in West Zone in U-11 girlscategory, but has also been selected for the nationals. Vedanti Dave, the starswimmer of the school, won a gold medal in 50 mtrs butterfly, a silver medal in200 mtrs IM, and a bronze medal in 100 mtrs freestyle. She has also beenselected for nationals. The school congratulates them on their laudableperformances. Unfortunately both of them missed the third position by microseconds in Nationals \"Adityalekshmi, the Bodhian girl on wheels, also has brought a big name tothe school by winning two silver medals in 500 mtr and 300 mtrs Speed SquadRace organized by CBSE West Zone Championship 2017-18 at IES PublicSchool, Bhopal. She stood second in the zone and had qualified for thenationals. She also missed the third placed by 1.15 seconds in the Nationals.The school is hopeful that these girls will bring laurels in the events to come.
Syntax V1.0 Orgnaized by DPS International Saket 5st October 2017DPS International, Saket hosted the second series of Syntax V1.0, an IT basedevent where our Bodhians participated in various formats. Psychedelicdesigning was where Sanchit Bhansali and Saransh Khatri from displayedtheir mettle. Vedansh Rathi and Archbishop participated in Game basedquiz, and Sonal Rohatgi along with Jahanvi Choudhary represented theschool for PPT presentation. The children got an opportunity to attendchallenging discussions held by the host school.
Paralympic Swimming Championship Second State Level 14st October 2017Para Sports Association, Rajasthan organized the Second State LevelParalympic Swimming Championship at Bodhi International School. Theevent was inaugurated by Mr Ashish Yadav, Secretary of Rajasthan ParaSports Association and Dr Venunadhan B Pillai, Principal of BodhiInternational School. 50 swimmers from 18 districts participated in theevent. The Student Council of the school honoured the winners by givingthem the cash awards.
Science Quiz Competitions 31st October 2017Books are a treasure of knowledge, but it is not confined to books only. 21stcentury learning skills focus on collaboration, critical thinking, problemsolving and creativity. Bodhians avail opportunities that hone these skillsand chisel the best out of them. SAEVUS ECO – ACHIEVERS QUIZwhich was organized by Saevus Magazine in liasion with Rotary Club ofJodhpur Midtown gave one such chance to budding environmentalists. Thisnational level quiz paved way for scholars with an inclination towardsenvironment to show their solidarity towards the cause of nature.A team of enthusiasts from Bodhi- Hardik Sethia (grade5), RaghavChoudhary (grade 6), Garv Vaswani ( grade 7)-participated in it and provedtheir mettle before other teams from different schools. They won thecompetition with flying colours. Second Asian Combat GamesRajwardhan Potalia of buds has proved his expertise in WuShu, a form ofmartial arts, by bagging a gold medal in the sub juniors category of theSecond Asian Combat Games. The tiny tot exhibited great endurance, focusand agility in the game which earned him the achievement. The school isproud of his caliber and success.
Visit RIFF Bal Mela 5st October 2017Students of grades 1 to 5 visited RIFF Bal Mela organised by Jodhpur RIFF2017. The endeavour to conserve and protect the rich cultural legacy ofRajasthan by manifesting the charm in the young generation is the motivebehind this fest. The students enjoyed the traditional and folk hoedown withan appreciation for the exemplary and kaleidoscopic art that defines thesoul of the state.
Dehradun Trip (Grade 4-6) 2nd October 2017The much awaited and rejuvenating break came after the end of Term 1examination. Two enthralling destinations beckoned the bodhians to rejoicein their beauty and adventure for 6 days and 5 nights. Students of grades 4 to6 went to Spill Well Resort, a camp sight near Dehradun. It was anadventurous trip and the kids enjoyed trekking, team buliding games, pitchingtent, star gazing etc.
Lonavala Trip (Grade 7-10) 2nd October 2017The senior students went to Lonavla. Their first attraction was Adlabs Imagicawhere they were amused by the breathtaking rides like Nitro Roller Coaster,Pendulum, Dare to drop etc. The second destination was Della Adventurewhich was a hub of myriad adventure activities like Rocket Launcher, Zipline,Zorbing, Archery, Shooting, ATVs and many more. Fun with water in thewater park exhiliarated all.
Messages from the Deputy Head Boy & Deputy Head Girl Being Appointed as the Deputy Head Boy is a matter of Great honour,but with great honour comes great responsibility . I deem it as my responsibility or duty to help every student on the campus. My effort and endeavocur will be to inspire them to recognize their potential and use it for the betterment of the school. Each Bodhian, as I wish, should be a role model of discipline, behavior and unity. I promise to work hard and be instrumental in bringing about a positive change. IH Orchestra Competition (Grade 3-5) 3rd October 2017If music be the food of love, play on!The divine rhythmic plume engulfed the atmosphere and caressed the moodwhen the band of young musicians from grades 3-5 played melodious prayersongs in the Inter House Orchestra Competition. The audience wasenraptured by the soothing and comforting tunes that cascaded fromdifferent instruments to enliven the moment.
Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) 7th October 2017Parent Teacher Meeting for grades 1 to 9 on 7th October 2017 was theculmination of the first term. A healthy interaction between teachers andparents took place while discussing the students' performance in scholasticand co-scholastic areas.The scholastic book fair added colour to the event. Students, accompaniedby their parents, took a tour of the courtyard for selecting and purchasingbooks of their taste.
Kindergarten Poetry Morning 11th October 2017The Kindergarten phase of Bodhi International School organized a poetrymorning on the 11th of October. The occasion was graced by Mrs. RaniMaheshwari, the founder of the Learning Tree, as the Chief Guest. Thelittle stars came dressed according to their poems and used appropriateprops. They performed to the best of their ability before the guests, parentsand teachers. Everyone was a winner, and all the performances wereentertaining in their own way. Mrs. Rani Maheshwari appreciated theeffort of kids and praised the team for its hard work that goes behindunleashing and embellishing the latent talents of the learners.
Carnival of Lights (ISA) 14th October 2017 The grand festive event- CARNIVAL OF LIGHTS, a British Council ISA project- was organized on the grounds of Bodhi International School with èlan, fervor and zeal. The show was a mega celebration of light which is the messenger of peace, positivity and oneness. The school exhibited a scintillating amalgam of the traditional ways in which this festival of lights is celebrated in China, Thailand, Japan and Germany.Mentor of the school, Prof. U.R. Dress Like a Helper - Fancy Dress 27th October 2017The tiny models of the kindergarten phase of the school left the audiencemesmerized with their grace and confidence in the fashion show organizedon the theme- 'Dress up like community helpers'. The competition wasaimed at cementing the learning and developing respect for the communityhelpers. The children came dressed up as their favourite helpers fromdifferent walks of life. The judges Mrs Suman Mundra, Mrs SunainaVaswani and Mrs Preeti Dudi were enthralled to witness a competition ofthis nature. The show and participation were applauded wholeheartedlyby the audience.
Halloween 31st October 2017It's Halloween again! Bodhians have fêted it with flair and style yet again.The school's courtyard, bedecked in the spookiest possible manner, wasreminiscent of the sets of the spine chilling Hollywood horror movies. Thestudents’ adorning in weird and eerie costumes added to the morbidghoulishness of the evening. The blood curdling shrieks and screams, the sightof cemetery, coffins and apparitional appearance of students and teachers sentshivers down the spines of the feeble hearted. The scariest themes for the fourhouses - Dracula and Vampires, Harry Potter, Wizards & Witches andZombie - engendered the horrendous ambience.
