IB Teachers Training : Mr Kaisar Dopaishi 05th March 2019 Bodhi International School has now become an IBPYP Candidate School To help facilitate a better educational experience for students, the school organized a skill enhancement session for the teachers by Mr. Kaiser Dopaishi as part of its continuous professional development programme. Mr. Dopaishi is an eminent personality in the field of IB education and is also on the School’s Advisory Board. Bodhi is grateful to him for providing his guidance in this progressive endeavor of ours. The teachers were given an insight into the PYP Curriculum and the Global contexts for teaching and learning

IB Parents Orientation : Mr Kaisar Dopaishi 06th March 2019 Parents involvement in taeching & learning process ensures rewarding results. With the onset of IB PYP curriculum at the school, parents were invited to hold an equal partnership in creating a better educational experience for students. Mr. Kaisar Dopaishi interacted with parents and educated them about the IB PYP pedagogy, assessment criteria and the global significance this program holds.

Last Day of Session : Kindergarten 07th March 2019 The year has flown by and the kids have moved one step further to the next grade. On the last day of the session, our young Bodhians enjoyed a lot; they came dressed in their cool casuals and freaked out in a fun class party. They played games, danced to their favourite tunes, did craft and excitedly enjoyed their tiffin along with their friends as if in a potluck. May the success, happiness and celebration always grace their path!

Graduation Day : Blossoms 09th March 2019 The Kindergarten phase of Bodhi International School celebrated its Graduation Day with elan and gusto. The children, magnificently adorned in graduation robes, were confident and excited to proceed to the next phase of their learning journey. Fine music and graceful sway by the graduating students, their juniors and teachers were exhilarating. The Guest of Honour, Wing Commander Tanushri Mahadevan, complimented the graduands and congratulated the teachers for their dedication, hard work and commitment. Principal, Dr Venunadhan Pillai, congratulated the students and their parents, and informed them about the IB Primary Years Programme. He, along with the Guest of honour, Executive Director, Mrs.Nitu Bothra, and CIE Head, Mr. Jay Sharma, felicitated the students and awarded certificates of accomplishment. It was indeed a joyous and memorable day, not only for the little ones but also for the proud parents and teachers.



PYP Teachers Training INSET 11th - 15th March 2019 Keeping up with the tradition, Bodhian facilitators started their preparations for the upcoming session. New members were welcomed and introduced, together the team attended the inset. The team was given an orientation about various aspects of the day-to-day activities of the school. Starting from understanding the Vision and Mission of the school, the inset covered the IB PYP and Cambridge learner/teacher profiles, CCA, Discipline, Day Cycle, Counselling Cell etc. Motivational videos and fun moments, in between, not only became energizers but also turned out to be the learning moments.

Kindergarten Holi Celebration 19th March 2019 It was a beautiful spring day when the pre primary phase celebrated Holi with colours and flowers. It was an experience of true explosion of colour. Teachers, children and parents enjoyed the fun-filled festival which happened with a lot of joy and fervor. Children also had a great time in doing holi craft. Some made pichkaari, some dipped their hand in colours yo make hand impressions and few splashed colours on papers to leave the mark of the festival. The day created a beautiful memory for all.



1st Day of Session 2019-20 25th March 2019 Old fades but leaves its tinge; new comes with promises ushering The school welcomed the old and new students to the new session, 2019-20. The hitherto silent premises of the school once again enlivened with the smiles, movement, and activities of children. The teachers greeted each and every child on the campus in Bodhi's traditional style. A formal introduction about the new team and the new office holders was made.

New Parents PYP Orientation 16th & 30th March 2019 An orientation for parents new to the IB Primary Years Programe (PYP) was conducted with the objective to create an understanding of the PYP philosophy and pedagogy through hands-on experience. Parents of Buds and Blossoms of the Early years program and grades 1 to 5 of the Primary Years Program took part in this orientation. Parents got a flavor of what happens in a PYP classroom and took part in an inquiry-based activity. The marshmallow challenge, tomato drop activity and tarsia puzzle gave a deeper insight into what trans-disciplinary teaching and learning look like; the focus on concepts rather than content was clearly communicated.
