Why Brookfield? Brookfield Country Clubs greatest asset, is the congeniality of its membership. New members feel at home very quickly. The club’s social and golf calendars are filled with events speciallydesigned for each segment of the membership; the family, men, women, new and longtime members.Members at Brookfield Country Club are focused on a lifestyle that is about satisfaction. Whether you are shooting for thathole in one, relaxing at the pool or dining with friends you will be embraced by our warm, welcoming community. Perhaps, these are the many reasons why so many people are drawn to our Brookfield family. Participation and use of club facilities is Brookfield’s strength. When you join as a member of Brookfield, you’re not just selecting a Club; but choosing a lifestyle!

FOUNDED IN 1927 as The Meadowbrook Club, Brookfield has a rich heritage. The name change occurred in 1943 when 28 members financed the purchase of The Meadowbrook Club and its equipment. Generations of Brookfield members have enjoyed an active, steady membership and continuous expansion of the club’s facilities and amenities. Ben Hogan won the 1948 Western Open Golf Championship at Brookfield in a playoff, shooting arecord 64, that was later equaled by our pro emeritus Alex Greer. The USGA Junior Amateur, featuringthe likes of Phil Mickelson, Dudley Hart and Robert Gamez was held here in 1985;Charlie Rymer, now a network golf commentator, was the winner.

THE CLUBHOUSEIn 1995, additions were made to the clubhouse included adding a new, larger Grill Room and bar, men’s and ladies’ locker rooms, an expanded golf shop and more extensiveoutdoor dining facilities. The traditional canopied clubhouse entrance was upgraded and the ballroom (site of all major club functions) was refurbished. The jewel of the expansion is The Meadowbrook Room, an elegant, member’s dining room suitable for smaller club functions and private parties. Our clubhouse continues to set the standard in class and will soon undertake additional enhancements.

THE GOLF COURSE Brookfield’s mature layout offers both a challenge to the low handicap player and a stimulating, always different round, to the less skilled golfer. The number of local, state and national tournaments held at Brookfield attest to its reputation as a well-manicured,   fun-to-play course. Our PGA professional staff members supervise all golf events and are available for lessons. Our golf shop is a consistent award winner for quality merchandise and display presentation. Brookfield’s professional Grounds Superintendent and his staff have earned the memberships respect for their diligence and outstanding results in maintaining the course.

SWIMMING, TENNIS & FITNESS With plenty of lounges, chairs and umbrella tables, Brookfield’s resort style swimming complex is the ideal place to relax after a round of golf, tennis or shopping. Our snack bar offers a variety ofsandwiches and fountain treats. Members gather and cheer whenever Brookfield’s swim team competes with youths from other clubs. Brookfield’s four tennis courts serve the needs of a very active group ranging in age from juniors to old timers. The courts are located next to the swimming pool, providing tennis players easy access tothe snack bar, pool-side locker rooms and showers. Our tennis professional handles court times and is available for lessons. Our exercise room includes all the essential equipment required to get you ready for the season. It is easily accessible from both the men’s and ladies’ clubhouse locker rooms and is open all year round.

DINING The Executive Chef and staff at Brookfield take pride in their ability to handle large member functions, weddings, bar & bat mitzvahs, confirmations, business meetings and private, intimate dinners; many of which occur on the same day. Satisfying the food preferences of adiverse country club membership is a demandingjob. Brookfield’s staff does it with panache and a sincere desire to please. Growing in popularity(especially around holidays) is the club’s catering operation—which delivers complete meals to members’ homes.
