Past perfect

1. ใช้กับเหตุการณ์ 2 เหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นในอดีต โดยเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นและจบลงก่อนจะ ใช้ Past Perfect ส่วนเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดหลังจากนั้น ใช้ Past Simple ซึ่งตัวเชื่อมระห่าง 2 Tense นี้ ได้แก่ Before ก่อนที่จะ After หลังจากที่ Because เพราะว่า When เมื่อ By the time ในตอนที่ เช่น The plane had left by the time I got to the airport. เครื่องบินได้ออกไปแล้วในตอนที่ฉันถึงสนามบิน 2.ใช้ในประโยค Indirect speech หรือ Reported speech (ประโยครายงาน) โดย Past Perfect ใช้แทน Present Perfect และ Past Simple เช่น Past Simple เปลี่ยนเป็น Past Perfect ใน Indirect speech Direct speech ➜ She said, “I decided to leave earlier today.” เธอบอกว่า “ฉันตัดสินใจจะออกไปในเร็วขึ้นวันนี้”

3. ใช้ wish + Past Perfect เพื่อแสดงถึงความไม่พอใจกับเหตุการณ์ในอดีต เช่น I wished I had told the truth. ฉันหวังว่าฉันจะได้บอกความจริง (แต่ในอดีตไม่ได้บอก)

past perfect continuous

Past Perfect Continuous Tense หมายถึง เหตุการณ์ได้เกิด ขึ้นแล้วมาระยะเวลาหนึ่ง และจะ ดำเนินต่อเนื่องไปอีก

หลักการใช้ ใช้บอกเหตุการณ์ที่ได้เกิดขึ้นแล้ว เป็นระยะเวลาหนึ่ง แล้วมีอีก เหตุการณ์เข้ามาแทรกกลางคัน หมายความว่ามันมีสองเหตุการณ์ (สอง Tense ) และต้องใช้ตามนี้ คือ เหตุการณ์ที่เกิดก่อนและกำลังเกิดขึ้นอยู่เป็น ระยะเวลาหนึ่ง (ใช้ Past Perfect Continuous Tense) เหตุการณ์ที่เกิดทีหลัง (ใช้ Past Simple Tense) **** ให้ท่องว่า พาส เพอเฟ็ค คอน (past perfect con) เกินก่อน พาสซิม (past sim) เกิด หลัง

ประโยคบอกเล่า Subject + had + been + V.ing ตัวอย่าง I had been waiting for you.

ประโยคปฏิเสธ Subject + had not been + V.ing ตัวอย่าง I had not been waiting for you.

ประโยคคำถาม Had + Subject + been + V.ing ? ตัวอย่าง Had you been waiting for me?
