Hues of Honda Gautam Kumar Panchal Plant Engineering (Tapukara Plant) An Unplanned Journey I am one of those people who love their bike more than their lover. Rather than taking lover on a date, I prefer to bring my bike for a ride. People like us are not made for clubs and parties. We are made to travel the world on 2 wheels. After waking up in the morning, me & my roommate decided to go on a long bike ride as it was 3 days long weekend, but it was not mutually decided, where to go. The roads will decide where they lead us. I gave a fresh shower to my Honda HORNET 2.0. Put on all our riding gears and double helmets, we set out. We reached to the exit gate of our society and tossed whether to go left or right. My roommate won the toss, and we took the left. Destination was still not decided. After 4 hours of ride, we reached Jhunjhunu, & after lunch we left again. We did not know when we reached Bikaner through the middle of the sandy land of Rajasthan that was visible till vast horizons. We woke up the next morning to explore Bikaner and found brake oil leakage from Honda HORNET 2.0. We reached the Honda Service Center around 11am. We talked to service advisor that we are tourists & have come to visit Bikaner from Gurgaon. Our brake oil pipe got punctured. The service center did not have a spare brake oil pipe, so they trimmed the same brake oil pipe & x it back and top up the oil. Bike was ready to Fly against the wind again. When we asked how much the service charges were, the service advisor said that you are the guest of Bikaner, will not take any charges from you. I thanked him with folded hands & before leaving the service center I left a beautiful review online for their service. After fully exploring Bikaner, & after a memorable journey of total 1069KM, we came back to our place. 72 CANVAS | Jan - Mar 2022

I want to share one such experience“A Road trip to Rishikesh\". Since it was the 1st long ride into the mountains, it holds special place in my heart. I went to Rishikesh on 2nd weekend of March this year 2022 from Delhi. Rishikesh is a beautiful small town situated in the state of Uttarakhand. It is this place where the mighty Ganges descend from the Himalayas to the planes. A place I believe every biker targets to hit SOLO. So, I also followed the ritual & headed straight towards Rishikesh with my H'ness. Upon reaching out skirts of Rishikesh, soaked in tranquil and peaceful atmosphere of region located amidst magni cent hills & valleys. I relished masala tea & stuffed paratha & headed towards the Laxman jhoola. Riding the bike on Laxman jhoola was giving goosebumps, looking at the river Ganga was thrilling. It was a very soothing experience sitting beside the calm almighty river Ganges. Being alone at such peaceful & spiritual environment gives you a lot of me time. With my H'ness witnessed scenic natural beauty and holy Ganges. Lying at foothills of Himalayas, the place is serene. I thoroughly enjoyed local sightseeing of the city, the melody of ringing bells and prayers culminate to form an unforgettable experience. I spent few more hours in perfect blend of spirituality and nature & returned with all the great memories & experiences. I came back more refreshed and empowered. A good solo ride gave me more strength & freedom. My H'ness is stylish, elegant yet quite comfortable, a companion better than no other. I wish to make more such memories with my H'ness in the times to come. 73 CANVAS | Jan - Mar 2022
Sandeep Jha Sales & Marketing (HMSI HO) Shiva Nand Jha Living the Activa Legacy Hues of Honda “मा कदािप ज”, which essentially means Never Give Up. That's the story behind the man I admire the most. My Dad. An ardent scooter lover where I had my younger days in the 90's on the then popular Chetak. And mind you, never did I realize the perils of a 2-stroke bulky engine for a rider until I joined Honda. I remember the day we bought our rst Activa way back in 2005. He was amazed at the technological advancement that Honda Activa had to offer. Since then it has been the ride, he was always dependent on. However, my story is about his recent grit and determination. In 2020, the year of his retirement from a 40 years long employment, I gifted him a brand new Activa 125 and made him part of the Quiet revolution. Not only was he amused at the fact that there was no starting noise, but he instantly complimented us with the never seen technology on the scooter. Be it comfort, convenience or power, it has it all. So much so that recently when he decided to build a grand house in our hometown, Madhubani, Bihar, Activa 125 was instantly summoned to work. Although in its early form, the house was entirely built by my parents and Activa 125 had been the go-to vehicle for all related activities. From the Construction material vendor to electrician, plumber, carpenter and all that we couldn't imagine, all of it was handled splendidly by the reliable machine. As my mom says, “Activa Aain diyawn nai ta hinkar haath pair haraa jaai chhain”meaning, get him (my dad) an Activa else he will remain lost here, summarizes the current state. The dependency is so much so that I had to get him a 2nd hand Activa for his daily retirement chores at Gurugram for his current stay here. So, it is safe to say thatThe Activa has helped me say“My Daddy Strongest!!!” 74 CANVAS | Jan - Mar 2022

For city traffic sitting position not too lean, PGMFI give sharp acceleration response, Engine deliver as much as power form the 150cc and clutch and gear shifting was very smooth hence the city riding was effortless and fun rev machine even in the city mode. And about long ride I traveled thousands of KMs. Riding posture give the feel of perfect sports tourer, Liquid cooling helps the engine to produce the similar performance even after hundreds of kms. Suspension was good. Overall nice bike for long trip. I would like to share one of my weekend trip experience, Myself and my friends planned to visit the Princess of hill station Kodaikanal. As per plan, it was a casual weekend trip until my friend tease my bike comparing with his 350CC bike. My poor friend he thought more cc means more performance. Yes, I know my bike focused to made for circuit not for the adventure ride, but I well know about my friend's bike, so we committed who reach silver falls rst approx. 40 kms. The road had tight turns and gradients with little more acceleration and few sharp down shifting I reached 5 mins before my friend. Even after my friend's disagreement with my bike performance and arguments for almost 2 days went to the hill station. Even on small adventure run, I never felt lag in performance and riding con dence. I enjoyed the trip lot with my bike. 75 CANVAS | Jan - Mar 2022
Hues of Honda Shishir Mishra Brand & Communication (HMSI – HO) Explored the \"Unexplored Paradise' Having ridden across India over many years, one day I decided to explore the land across the border and with this in mind, chose Bhutan as rst destination. It took three and half day to reach the Phuentsholing-Jaigaon border from New Delhi on my Honda CBR250R. Seeking entry into Bhutan is very easy for Indian citizen but getting permission for your bike is a difficult task. However, the fee is nominal. Indian Rupee is very well accepted in Bhutan as its equivalent to Bhutanese currency. So need to worry about currency exchange. Entering Bhutan was a completely different experience from the border in West Bengal. The journey from Phuentsholing takes one on well-surfaced and picturesque roads, through neat and clean surroundings and more importantly at cheaper petrol price. I took a halt at Paro, a valley known for its famous Taktsang Monastery (also known as Tiger Nest), which necessitates two and half hours of an uphill trek. Upon reaching the top and once inside monastery, one can nd heavenly peace and bliss. Next destination was the capital city Thimpu. Just before entering the city, one nds oneself on a smooth, four lane highway with the speed limited strictly to 50 kmph. It's quite interesting that Bhutan doesn't have traffic lights, it is the only country in world to do so without them. One-way traffic arrangement at places and disciplined driving on the part of its citizen keeps the traffic owing smoothly in Bhutan and there are very few two-wheelers on the roads. I continued my journey towards the Punakha Valley, where the famous Punakha Dzong is situated at the con uence of the rivers Pho- chhu and Mo-chhu. Camping in Punakha on the bank of the river was an unforgettable experience indeed. The local people were very hospitable. In the morning they caught fresh sh and offered it to me along with rice. The mountains of Bhutan are similar to the Himalayan range, but much cleaner, greener and dense with foliage. Riding through Bhutan brings everything one would expect of an international biking trip, and much more. 76 CANVAS | Jan - Mar 2022

Hues of Honda Sunny Kumar Quality Control Head Office (HMSI-EBQ-HO) A Ride to Remember “Four wheel moves the body; Two wheels moves the soul”is the philosophy & practical Motorcycle was my dream. I have searched & test ride so many motorcycle in the market to meet my expectations but could not nd one. Some were too expensive & some were poor in quality & performance. Finally, Honda gave me this perfect machine to ful ll my dream with launching Highness CB-350. I got this wonderful practical machine in October 2021 and waseagerly waitingto ride it for a long distance, so I decided to open full throttle on highways and check its capabilities on practical Indian roads. I made a solo trip in November 2021 to Chuhar Valley-Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh which is almost 600 km from Gurgaon. I have crossed highways of planes and rough terrain of Himalayan valleys to reach up to the destination.Trust me, riding such a beautiful machine is full of thrill that too through out the journey. it has delivered me pure joy of riding with its overall performance like comfortable riding posture, good stability, easy maneuverability, better operation ability, practical suspensions, con dent braking, pocket friendly mileage and nally harmonious exhaust note. I have enjoyed every single bit of its capabilities and I fall in love with this machine. I found this motorcycle is a big Head turner too. While my riding & stop overs people were asking too much questions about model, price & its performance. Even some random bikers chased me and made me stop to have a look over & details of it. Even though it's been 7 months of purchased but still people used to ask me all these questions and every time I happily and proudly explain its awesomeness. As a Honda family member, I can say that we have created a beautiful beast which is practical and full of fun. Being its Test PL & owner as well I had personally experienced the awesomeness of this machine. Last but not the least I can say “I am a proud owner of Honda Highness CB-350”& wish you can feel the same. “Happy & Safe Riding” 78 CANVAS | Jan - Mar 2022
Hues of Honda Vijaydeep Shukla Brand & Communication (HMSI – HO) PHuaprspuinitesosf on two-wheels American automotive designer and race driver, Carroll Shelby once famously said, “There's a point at 7000 RPM where everything fades. When your seeing becomes weightless, just disappears. And all that's left is a body moving through space and time. 7000 RPM that's where you meet it.” While Mr. Shelby was ruminating about cars, the emotion still profoundly resonates inches above the tarmac on a motorcycle and sub 5500 RPMs on Honda H'ness CB350 deliver feels enough on a long stretch ahead. Fast rewind - My earliest memories of motorcycles date back to early 2000s when I used to watch re-runs of MotoGP races, clueless how it works, the rules or greats from that era. Yet I was awed by those bright red bikes gliding over the tracks in those death defying lean angles. Evenings were lit at the strike of 6 not just because of Fox kids but also my father's distinctive bike exhaust sound as he took the nal turn towards our house. Excited, I used to dash out to greet him while also gazing at other passing Chetaks & Lambrettas of the time. Eventually I learnt how to ride albeit at the cost of few damaged clutch brakes, my father's tacit rebukes passed along with valuable tips on riding. Sometimes it's better to travel than to arrive. After ve years of college, different cities and riding on whatever scooter or bike was available, I got settled with a stable job and plenty of moving around to do. Still a long way from riding my own motorcycle, but I was getting there. After enough persuasion from La Familia to make a utilitarian choice and buy a 4W, I convinced them for a motorcycle. Having worked closely with a brand like H'ness CB350 at Honda and witnessing its might on a terrain as treacherous as Arunachal, in my mind I had already made a choice. It was the heart that needed a nal push. And the test ride did it. Last December, my dream of almost 23-24 years turned into a reality. The black overalls with glimpses of grey, bordered with copious amounts of Chrome is indeed a sight to behold. There remains a very long way to go and make new memories before we fade into the sunset. Until then, cheers to More battles, more scars; More victories & more stars! 79 CANVAS | Jan - Mar 2022
Hues of Honda Vinay Kumar New Model Purchase & Parts Strategy (HMSI – EBQ – HO) Being a motorcycle enthusiast & Passionate rider. I had a wish that Honda should bring a Global product in 350cc Segment and it comes true at the launch of H'ness & CB30RS. I personally like CB350 RS, So I bought it for me. As like many other bikers dream, I also have a dream of Ladakh trip in my mind. But I want to make it more memorable for me. Then I decide to cover the Ladakh Trip with my Honda CB 350 RS which is just 2 days old. This will gona surely one of its kind and memorable trip for me as no one have attempted yet as CB 350 RS is just launched and very new to the market. But as an employee as well as a Customer, I have trust in the built quality and reliability of Honda product. So, I Started my trip from my home town“Delhi”Via Srinagar and explored the whole difficult terrains of Leh- Ladakh. I completed the full circuit and ended up to DelhiVia Manali in just 8 days. It becomes a proud moment for me as I am among the few riders who have done the whole circuit in such a short time. Also, I am the among the rst few people who done it with Honda CB 350 RS. My trust and con dence will become more stronger on Honda as a rider since I have not faced even a single issue with the bike during my full clock journey. After that I have done many trips in mountains of Himachal and Uttarakhand. I also witness the Honda's rst ever “Home coming Fest”celebrated on 24th Apr'22 being selected in some of the lucky owners from the whole country. I also founded a “Honda United Bikers Club” for Delhi NCR riders of Honda H'ness and RS. I do contribute for promoting the brand Honda, teaching the riding skills & giving safety awareness among new riders on weekend riding. At last, I would like to say“Thank youTeam Honda”for introducing CB350 in the Indian Market. 80 CANVAS | Jan - Mar 2022
