When to Draw Social SecurityBY BURK ROSENTHALQuestion: My husband and I are turning age 62later this year and trying to decide whether todraw early Social Security benefits or wait untilwe can receive full benefits at age 66. How canwe determine what is best for us?\"Choosing the right SocialSecurity election may be themost important decision of yourretirement.\"Choosing the right Social Security electionmay be the most important decision of yourretirement. Single people can do a simple\"break-even\" analysis to determine whetherto take early benefits or wait. But formarried couples, the decision is much morecomplex, because a simple break-evenanalysis could potentially cost thousands ofdollars in lost benefits. The differencebetween the best and worst possibleelection decision can be well over $100,000!If you'd like to see what's at stake for you,go to www.DFWsocialsecurity.com andclick on \"What's at Stake?\" Please feel freeto call our office if you have any questionsand for your personal analysis: (817) 336-2000 Pg. 3
