MOSCOW UNITED METHODIST  LEARNING TREE    MARCH 2020  NEWSLETTER      March We will begin March celebrating National Education Association’s “Read Across America”. We will continue letter recognition and letter sounds with Preschool, and letter recognition, letter sounds, beginning sounds, letter segmenting of three letter words, and rhyming with our Pre-K class. Three day Preschool and Pre-K will also work weekly on computer skills. Our themes for the month are ​Read Across America, St. Patrick’s Day, My Wild Weather Day, a​ nd ​Baby Animals. ​This month we will be focusing on writing the letters A, I, T, J, C, O, Q, G, S, V, X, Y, Z. We will focus on writing and counting the numbers 1-4. Things to Bring for the Owl of the Week Monday: Owl’s Choice Tuesday: Game Wednesday: Toy Thursday: Stuffed Animal Friday: Book Dates to Remember March 2, 2020- Cat in the Hat Day- wear a silly hat March 3, 2020- Oh, the Places You’ll Go Day- wear college jersey or t-shirt March 4, 2020- Wacky Wednesday- wear wacky clothes, such as mismatched, pajamas, or backwards March 5, 2020- Fox in Socks Day- wear crazy or fun socks March 6, 2020- One Fish, Two Fish Red Fish, Blue Fish Day- wear a red shirt or blue shirt March 18, 2020- Scholastic Book Order Due Important Reminders ● Please remember we are following North Pocono School District’s School Calendar. In the event the school district closes due to inclement weather, the preschool will also be closed. We will notify you via email in the event of a school cancellation. Cancellation information can also be found on our Facebook Page Moscow United Methodist Learning Tree​ and WBRE channel 28. *The preschool will operate on a normal schedule in the event of a two hour delay. However, there will NOT be early drop off at 8:30am. School will begin at 9:00am for all students in the Pre-K class. *If the school district should have an early dismissal due to impending inclement weather, the preschool will close at 11:30am (after the morning Pre-K class) and afternoon preschool (or Mommy and Me) will be cancelled for the day. ● Please like and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram at @NPLearningTree ● Our handbook, newsletter, and forms are always available on our website nplearningtree.org
