PRINCIPAL ASSISTANT MESSAGE“A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receivewithout making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but thememory of it sometimes last forever.” –AnonymousIn reference to the above quote, Al Wisam School celebrated the100 acts of kindness to bring its community together as they findfulfillment and joy in thinking about and doing something nice forothers.Teachers transformed their classrooms and improved theschool climate. While practicing the acts of kindness, pupilsbecame more responsive, more caring and more sociallyaware of themselves as having the ability to make adifference in their shared experience. They came to believe that they have the power to improvetheir lives and the enjoyment of their lives throughauthentic kind acts. The most magical part of this transformation is that itdoesn’t matter if the act of kindness is small or large. The effect is the same. This month of November helped build positiveemotional connection between pupils, between pupils and teachers, and betweenpupils and parents helps create healthyrelationships. Positive relationshipsin turn help to ease anxiety, bringa sense of belonging and allowpupils to focus and engagein learning. Amaal AlHalwachi AWS Principal Assistant
