4 Voltage Conversion Program Background In August of 2010, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Council of Ministers approved the change of the supply voltage from 208/120V to the international standard (400/230 volts) in the residential and commercial buildings kingdom wide. The government granted 25 years grace period for implementation, ten years for preparation and fifteen years for implementation. To comply with Government Directives and due to the large magnitude of the work to carry out the conversion in all Community Services (CS) houses, facilitates and office buildings, CS acquired a special BI for the program to be implemented through Master Appropriation.

6 Voltage Conversion Program In compliance with the government directives, Community Services (CS) will change the supply voltage in all Saudi Aramco CS owned residential units, office buildings and facilities from the current supply voltage of 208/120 V to the new voltage standard of 400/230 V from 2017 until 2029. Residential Units Office Buildings Facilities 8 The CS voltage conversion program is being implemented through 8 phases of master appropriation in which Phases the program scope consists of the replacement of transformers, panelboard, receptacles and other defined fixed equipment.
