Steps to fix Canon Printer Mx850 Error Code B20: Solution 1: 1.Turn OFF the printer. 2.Unplug the printer from the power source. 3.Open the printer cover then reveal the ink cartridges. 4.Remove the printhead from the printer be carefully. 5.Clean the Printhead along with the Ink Cartridges. 6.Clean the contact pads in the printer with a contact cleaner or a good pencil eraser. 7.Reinstall the printhead again. 8.Reinstall the ink cartridges thereafter before powering up the printer. 9.Run the “Auto Head Alignment” for testing the printer.

Solution 2: 1.Turn OFF Power of the Printer. 2.Open the print head bay (as though you were about to change inks). 3.Turn ON power. 4.Wait for print carriage to start moving to the left and let it go past half way. 5.Before print carriage reaches left hand side (but after going halfway across) shut the cover. 6.Turned on the Printer again. Solution 3: 1.Turn OFF the printer. 2.Disconnect the printer from the power source. 3.Get out the Ink Cartridges. 4.Fold up the dark gray frame. 5.Get out the Printhead. 6.Rinse the Printhead well by warm water, for better results use Tylenol or alcohol. 7.Wipe the Printhead with soft, absorbent paper. 8.Blow off Printhead with the air. 9.Let print head dry for 1/2 hour. 10.Fold down the dark gray frame 11.Install the Printhead. 12.Get in the Ink Cartridges. 13.Reconnect the printer to power source. 14.Turn ON the printer again. 15.Start printer.

Solution 4: 1.Turn OFF the printer. 2.Disconnect the printer from the power source. 3.Open cover of the printer and remove the color cartridges. 4.Remove the sled in which the cartridges were previously placed. 5.clean the cartridges with water be carefully. For maximum results, clean it use isopropanol (there in the pharmacy), so that the printhead can not clog with lime. 6.Make sure that the golden contacts are not wet, otherwise you can damage the print head. 7.Dry everything be carefully, make sure no residual water gets into the printer. 8.Reinstall cartridges and carriages in the first place. 9.Turn ON the printer again.

SOLUTION 5: 1.Unplug the power cable. 2.Open the printer. 3.Push the whole print head mechanic to the center. 4.While the printer still open, plug the power and turn it ON. 5.When the printhead still moving and is going to the very LEFT, close the cover. 6.Wait until its boot up.
