DAY 02 LONDON - CAMBRIDGE - LINCOLN (Dinner) Welcome to London. Upon arrival, transfer to Cambridge. Cambridge is a wonderful mixture of the everyday and the extraordinary, a living city that has shaped history and today reflects the best of historic and contemporary life. It was the inspiration for Charles Darwin, Isaac Newton and many of the Monty Python gang. We will have a view of the magnificent chapel of Kings College, founded in 1441, and a fascinating walking tour of a city filled with beautiful buildings and historical quirks, including the famous 'Bridge of Sighs'. Next, continue to Lincoln for our overnight stay. DAY 03 LINCOLN - YORK - LAKE DISTRICT (American Buffet Breakfast / Dinner) After breakfast, we will travel to York where a walking tour in York will bring us to the York Minister, largest medieval gothic cathedral in northern Europe. Next, is the Shambles which is one of the best-preserved medieval shopping streets in Europe before we settle down for our dinner tonight after a long and enriching day. Thereafter, continue to the scenic Lake District where we visit Grasmere, home of the poet Wordsworth. DAY 04 LAKE DISTRICT - LIVERPOOL - LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB MUSEUM - CHESTER (American Buffet Breakfast / Dinner) Bid farewell to the scenic Lake District where we drive through landscapes reminiscent of his poetry towards Liverpool. An orientation tour in Liverpool brings us to the St George’s Hall which is the largest neo-classical building in Europe. Walk through the cells, the courts and peek a view at the splendor of the Great Hall (NB:- Closed on Every Monday). Our next greatest highlight for today is a visit to the Liverpool Football Club Musuem where we get to see the medals, memorabilia and the 5 European Cups displayed in all their glory. Lastly, we make a photo stop at the well-known Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral. Tonight, overnight stay in Chester. DAY 05 CHESTER - BIRMINGHAM - STRATFORD UPON AVON (American Buffet Breakfast / Dinner) This morning, transfer to Birmingham and starts our tour at the medieval center around St Martin’s Church and the Bullring including the latest `shop till you drop’ iconic building of Selfridges. Follow the time line to Victorian Birmingham and the 21st century of Queen Elizabeth II. New Street, Victoria Square, Centenary Square and the Library of Birmingham, the ICC, Symphony Hall, Brindley Place. After lunch, continue to Stratford-upon-Avon where we visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace. DAY 06 STRATFORD UPON AVON - BATH - STONEHENGE - OXFORD (American Buffet Breakfast / Dinner) This morning, we shall continue our journey to Bath. Founded by the Romans as a thermal spa, Bath became an important centre of the wool industry in the Middle Ages. In the 18th century, under George III, it developed into an elegant town with neoclassical Palladian buildings, which blend harmoniously with the Roman baths. Your orientation of Bath includes the Pulteney Bridge and famous Georgian architecture. Visit the Roman Baths and Pump Room and view Bath Abbey, founded in 1499. Thereafter, discover the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe - the ancient stone circle at Stonehenge. Admire the stones and visit the world-class exhibition and visitors centre before we travel west to Oxford for an orientation of this famous university city where Kings, queens, presidents and prime ministers have all studied here. DAY 07 OXFORD - BICESTER OUTLET - LONDON (American Buffet Breakfast) After breakfast, we shall depart by coach to Bicester Outlet village for our shopping day! Discover a world of luxury at Bicester Village, the region’s ultimate shopping destination. DAY 08 LONDON - BRITISH MUSEUM (American Buffet Breakfast / Dim Sum Lunch) Today, we shall start our tour which takes us on an included half-day sightseeing tour featuring Trafalgar Square, Whitehall, Downing Street, the Houses of Parliament with their trademark clock tower. The world famous timepiece “Big Ben” refers not to the Clock Tower as many people presume but to the largest bell in the chime. Next, is the Westminister Abbey which housed a community of monks as early as AD 750. Move on to Buckingham Palace which has strong symbolic interest and is one of the city’s biggest draws. Thereafter, visit one of the greatest Museum in the world. Founded in 1753, the British Museum’s remarkable collection spans over two million years of human history. Get close to World-famous objects such as the Rosetta Stone, Parthenon sculptures, and Egyptian mummies. DAY 09 LONDON - WINDSOR CASTLE - LONDON (American Buffet Breakfast / Dinner) Today, we are going for a day trip to visit the impressive and historic Windsor Castle. Famous for its architecture and longstanding Royal place of residence, the Castle was built in the 11th century after the Norman invasion. As well as having been used as a military headquarters during the Civil War and as a refuge for the royal family during WWII, Windsor Castle is now Queen Elizabeth II’s favourite weekend home. Thereafter, return to London for our dinner. DAY 10 LONDON (American Buffet Breakfast) Today, free at own leisure. You may want to shop in Oxford Streets, designer boutiques along Bond Street and not forgetting the numerous temptations offered by the famous Harrods in Knightsbridge. In the evening, you may want to consider seeing a show in London’s World Famous West End. DAY 11 LONDON - SINGAPORE (American Buffet Breakfast) Free at leisure till transfer to the airport for your departure flight back home to Singapore.
