ROMANS CHAPTER 151 ¶ We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not toplease ourselves.2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of themthat reproached thee fell on me.4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, thatwe through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.5 ¶ Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded onetoward another according to Christ Jesus:6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of ourLord Jesus Christ.7 ¶ Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory ofGod.8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth ofGod, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For thiscause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall riseto reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.13 ¶ Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye mayabound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.14 ¶ And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full ofgoodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.15 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort,as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering thegospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, beingsanctified by the Holy Ghost.17 ¶ I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those thingswhich pertain to God.18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not
wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so thatfrom Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel ofChrist.20 Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest Ishould build upon another man's foundation:21 But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and theythat have not heard shall understand.22 ¶ For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you.23 But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire thesemany years to come unto you;24 Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to seeyou in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I besomewhat filled with your company.25 But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.26 For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certaincontribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.27 It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles havebeen made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto themin carnal things.28 When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I willcome by you into Spain.29 And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of theblessing of the gospel of Christ.30 ¶ Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for thelove of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;31 That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that myservice which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;32 That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you berefreshed.33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
JOHN CHAPTER 161 ¶ These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoeverkilleth you will think that he doeth God service.3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known theFather, nor me.4 But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye mayremember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at thebeginning, because I was with you.5 But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whithergoest thou?6 But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.7 ¶ Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if Igo not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send himunto you.8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: forhe shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: andhe will shew you things to come.14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take ofmine, and shall shew it unto you.16 ¶ A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shallsee me, because I go to the Father.17 Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saithunto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shallsee me: and, Because I go to the Father?18 They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell
what he saith.19 Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Doye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me:and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shallrejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but assoon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joythat a man is born into the world.22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heartshall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.23 ¶ And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you,Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, thatyour joy may be full.25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when Ishall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray theFather for you:27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and havebelieved that I came out from God.28 ¶ I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave theworld, and go to the Father.29 His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest noproverb.30 Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any manshould ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.31 Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, everyman to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because theFather is with me.33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In theworld ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
I CORINTHIANS CHAPTER 21 ¶ And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or ofwisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and himcrucified.3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man'swisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.6 ¶ Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom ofthis world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, whichGod ordained before the world unto our glory:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they wouldnot have crucified the Lord of glory.9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered intothe heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth allthings, yea, the deep things of God.11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is inhim? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God;that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they arefoolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spirituallydiscerned.15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But wehave the mind of Christ.
