MARK CHAPTER 11 After many years of getting from God exactly what I asked for, I have reluctantly concluded my favor with Him. Often family and friends have jokingly asked me to introduce them to my God. But the Christians among them already know Him. The difference is faith. Every time I ask God for something, I am expecting an answer. The moment I finish my prayer, I am convinced that it is done. I have even gotten into the habit of thanking Him in advance for answering my prayers. When something disappointing, hurtful, or unjust happens in my life, I try to spend little time in the very human side of me that hurts easily. I know that the disappointment has just set me up for another of God's miracles. I know in my
heart that God wants me healthy, happy, and successful. When things do not go as I wish, by faith, I know that what God is going to give me must be more incredible than what I wanted. In turn, the more I expect from God, the more He gives me, and the more He expects from me. The more I give back, the more blessings I receive. The more my faith increases, the more opportunities He gives me to increase my faith. I, therefore, place myself in the position of receiving His uncommon favor, which means my needs are anticipated. My desires are considered, and prayers are answered. God is only a prayer away. But those who come to God must believe that He is.
