The apostle Paul had a type of eternal vision,he encouraged the church in Corinth: “Ourlight affliction, which is but for a moment, isworking for us a far more exceeding andeternal weight of glory . . . . The things whichare seen are temporary, but the things whichare not seen are eternal”.We struggle with our “eyesight.” There’s atension between enjoying all that God hasgiven us in this life, yet still believing in ourfuture. To go to heaven, fully to enjoy God, isinfinitely better than the most pleasant
accommodations here. Seeing Him willbring perfect vision. Keep your eyes fixedon the prize.Lord, our life on this earth is but a momentcompared to eternity. Help us to enjoy thetime we’ve been given, and use us to tellof Your love and goodness.Bible ReadingII Corinthians 4:1-18II Corinthians 5:1-21
