Bullet Piercing Valve Is the original specially designed service valve for gaining access to a sealed refrigeration system. Used to access sealed systems without having to cut lines and recover refrigerant. •  Has a permanent, patented gasket that provides a larger sealing area than a standard O ring gasket. •  Has a ¼ inch flare access port. •  Comes with two sleeves to accommodate three different sizes of tubing, ¼”, 5/16” and 3/8”. •  Can withstand a maximum of 500 PSI of pressure. •  Has three points of compression, compared to the competitors two points. •  Has a hardened needle for accurate seating and use time after time. Flame Sensor Cleaner A convenient tool used to remove carbon build up on a dirty flame sensor. •  Before this was available Technicians used sandpaper or a dollar bill to clean the sensor LENNOX #Y8798 SUPCO #FSC10

Condensate Clean Out Valve A ¾” valve for condensation line cleaning. •  ¼” flare connection for service and maintenance access, nitrogen creates the pressure to clear the line. •  Valve turns 180 degrees to clear line in either direction. •  Arrow on the valve indicates direction the line is being cleared. •  It is code to have a permanent valve attached. Linebacker® Surge Arrestor •  Surge Protection is necessary in the HVAC Market. •  The LBK10 is more than a Surge Protector, it is a voltage & ground monitor as well. •  It also uses a series of blinking lights for diagnostics. •  Mounts at the Condensing unit or at the Furnace/Air Handler. •  Will shut the unit down if it sacrifices itself. •  Will also shut the unit down if it senses over voltage, low voltage, or loss of ground. In these cases it will reset itself if the problem corrects itself. •  Go to LBK10.COM for additional information. •  Note: Less expensive surge protectors DO NOT SHUT THE SYSTEM DOWN, the system continues to run unprotected after the device sacrifices itself! •  Contractors need a better understanding of Surge Protection. •  Surge protectors need a ground of 25 OHMS or less resistance . •  Surge Protectors degrade over time and should be replaced every 3-4 years. SPST/SPDT/DPST & DPDT Diagrams

Definitions Pole refers to the number of circuits controlled by the switch: SP switches control only one electrical circuit. DP switches control two independent circuits (and act like two identical switches that are mechanically linked). Throw refers to the position of the actuators: ST close a circuit at only one position. DT switches close a circuit in two positions. BTU: British Thermal Unit - 12,000 BTU = 1 Ton / 18,000 BTU = 1.5 Ton / 24,000 BTU = 2 Ton, etc.

Motor Types SP - shaded pole PSC - permanent split capacitor CSIR - capacitor start/induction run CSCR - capacitor start/ capacitor run ECM - electrically commutated motor

Basic Conversions Transformer VA to Amps Amps = VA ÷ Volts Example - 40 VA ÷ 24 Volts = 1.6666 Amps Heating Conversion Factors Watts-hr X 3.413 = BTU's KW-HR X 3413.0 = BTU's
