Issue #2, December 2020 FROM THE EDITOR I was talking to my dad the other day and what he said has stayed with me for some time now. I was indulging in light gossip and telling him all ethos, pathos and logos of it when he quietly chuckled- \"Great people talk about concepts, they talk about ideas. It's the mediocre who choose to talk about other people.\" Truly, as I sit at home now, evaluating my year, I realized it's easy to just say something about someone without realizing the consequence or the weight it carries. At the inception of this magazine, we wanted it to be informal, we wanted it to familiarize juniors with the general happenings of our college and we knew it would come along with it's certain flair of drama. And while it could've gone down that road we consciously chose not to. As I welcome all of you to our second issue, I'm very glad that it isn't just another tabloid around the block. The idea that went behind creating this was to come up with a confluence of originality and writing about things we truly believe in, things that are happening all around and things that need to be written about; that should be written about. This issue was much more planned, with a lot more vision and thought than our very first one. But sadly, one gem from the same year is not talked about as much, which in my opinion is a masterpiece. The movie I’m talking about in the ensemble cast movie Talaash. The aforementioned cast consists of Aamir Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddique and even Rajkumar Rao all of whom have given mind- blowing performances. It’s a movie that was way ahead of its time. It talked about an important mental health issue which is PTSD and humanised sex workers- a job in which women are often mistreated and dehumanised. It has powerful lines written by the amazing Anurag Kashyap. The album composed by Ram Sampath is absolutely fantastic in every way. The background music is chilling and haunting. You NEED to watch it. Artist Picks Gunda PINK One of the most memed about movies of all time, watching this movie FLOYD is a blast out and out. The movie has such bad performances it makes HOZIER our star kids look good. The story is so bad that even a person on a AMIT hallucinogenic trip could come up with a better one. It also has some TRIVEDI of the most hilarious dialogues which rhyme for no reason and with iconic catchphrases such as “Mera naam hai bulla aur mai rakhta hu khulla”, this movie will have you rolling on the floor with laughter.
