LIFE IS A GAME LIFE IS A GAME WITH DROP AND HEIGHT , LIFE IS A GAME WITH DAY AND NIGHT; WE,THE HUMANS ARE LIKE A FLYING KITE, SOMETIMES IT CUTS OFF SOMETIMES IT FIGHTS; TO AT A HEIGHT TAKE OFF A FLIGHT, AND DON'T EVER LOSE YOUR PRECIOUS MIGHT; S O M E T I M E S Y O U ' L L G E T T H U N D E R S T O R M , SOMETIMES YOU'LL GET A PLACE WHICH IS WARM; WHEN WE DROP OF THE FLIGHT, WE NEVER RUN OUT OF THE FLIGHT; - Devaunsh Joshi

Night Time In the Dark niigth sky under the owl's big eye we see the twinkling stars also the parked cars oh but why, do people sigh the belief of the most that the nigthtime is the existence of ghosts with all the fake rumors people often lose their humour hosting chili and lime they sleep tigth but i wonder all my life who is th e ghost with its hand equipped with a knife? WITH THE FRESH COOL AIR AND THE MOON AND STARS I WONDER IF AM I EVEN THERE OR LOST IN THE BEAUTY OF THE SKY SOMEWHERE NIGTHS ARE SILENT WHEN ONE SHOULD NEVER BE VIOLENT, IT GIVES US TIME TO THINK ABOUT THE JOY AND SORROW BUT WITH THE NEW SUNSHINE THERE WILL BE A BETTER TOMMOROW BY - eshika

Fruit of thinking accurately Life is full of sweetness and sourness, ups and downs, negativity and positivity, mistakes and learnings, etc. People must be strong and overcome the situations in their life. We must always support our positive thoughts and let the negative ones be aside. We must plan strategic thinking for every incidence we think of. Success is a journey that all of us are surely going to go through. On the way of this journey, we face many hard times which we call failure, and end up giving up. This leads to various health issues like anxiety, fatigue, depression, etc. Many people come up with suicide too. All the problem behind all the small negative things is just ‘self- underestimation’. People don’t recognize themselve s first, and their minds divert to negative thoughts. People should never underestimate themselves. They must know how beautiful they are. If you are truthful and supportive of yourself, you will never face bad times in your life. To have positive thinking, we must know ourselves first. Every human is beautiful and perfect! “Butterflies can't see their wings. They can't see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can. People are like that as well.” Just understand how beautiful you are! Head up towards the positive thoughts. Good things take time! BY - eshika

Aryabhata: The Great Mathematician and Astronomer. Aryabhata (476AD-550AD) was a great Indian mathematician and an astronomer of all time. He flourished in the Gupta period and produced works such as Aryabhatiya and the Arya-Siddhanta. Aryabhata had studied in the Nalanda university. One of his great works, Aryabhatiya was written in 499AD. The book covers his own astronomical and mathematical theories. In this book, the day was reckoned from one sunrise to next, while in his other book (Arya-Siddhanta) he says that the day was over midnight. Aryabhata was an exceptional mathematician who invented zero, which is extremely significant in the present world. Without the invention of zero, life would be very different than what it is today. Zero is significant everywhere in today’s life, be it mathematics or electronics.

Aryabhata was also the first to explain how a solar or a lunar eclipse occurs. Aryabhata also gave a very approximate value of pi. In his book Aryabhatiya he wrote:” Add 4 to 100, multiply the result by 8, then add 62000 and divide by 20000. The result would be approximately the circumference of a circle of diameter 20000. By this rule the relation of the circumference to the diameter is given”. In other words, pi=62832/20000=3.1416, correct to four rounded off decimal places. In short, Aryabhata was the great Indian astronomer and the mathematician without whom, life would be very different in the present. BY: Prachi

How India CAN FIND A380 HOW INDIA CAN SAVE THE A380? THE RISE AND DEMISE OF THE A380 HAS BEEN AS SPECTACULAR AS IT HAS BEEN SWIFT. WHAT WAS ONCE HERALDED AS THE FUTURE OF COMMERCIAL AIR TRAVEL HAS COMPLETELY FLOPPED. EVEN THOUGH PASSENGERS ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE PLANE, AIRLINES DON’T FEEL THE SAME. FEW AIRLINES BOUGHT IT, AND THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN CASTING IT ASIDE WITH RECKLESS ABANDON. WITHOUT A MIRACLE, THE SUPERJUMBO MAY NOT BE AROUND FOR MUCH LONGER. BUT LUCKILY FOR ALL OF US, THE PLANE MIGHT JUST HAVE A SAVIOUR. INDIAN AIRLINES COULD - AND PROBABLY SHOULD - BUY THE A380. FIRST LET US UNDERSTAND THAT WHAT IS AN A380? THE AIRBUS A380 IS A LARGE WIDE-BODY AIRLINER THAT WAS DEVELOPED AND PRODUCED BY AIRBUS. IT IS THE WORLD'S LARGEST PASSENGER AIRLINER AND ONLY FULL-LENGTH DOUBLE-DECK JET AIRLINER.

INDIA’S AVIATION PROBLEM AIRLINE’S LIKE JET AIRWAYS AND AIR INDIA HAVE BEEN EYEING HUGE ORDERS OF HUNDREDS OF NEW PLANE’S BUT THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT THERE ISN’T ENOUGH SPACE FOR ALL THOSE NEW AIRCRAFTS. NOW IT’S JUST TOO MANY INDIAN TRAVELERS AND NOT ENOUGH AIRPORTS TO HANDLE THEM ALL. AS A POINT OF COMPARISON, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA HAS ONE AIRPORT PER 700,000 RESIDENTS. INDIA HAS ABOUT ONE AIRPORT PER 11,000,000 (11 MILLION) RESIDENTS AND THAT’S 16 TIMES HIGHER THAN THE UNITED STATES. UNSURPRISINGLY, THESE AIRPORTS ARE STUFFED TO BRIM WITH PLANES AND PASSENGERS ALIKE AND IN TURN DELAYS HAPPENING CONSTANTLY. ON AVERAGE ONE IN EVERY THREE FLIGHTS IN INDIA ARE LATE AND AS A MATTER-OF-FACT INDIA’S MOST PUNCTUAL AIRLINE GO-AIR HAS THE WORSE-ON TIME PERFORMANCE THAN AMERICA’S LEAST PUNCTUAL AIRLINE. BUT IN 2020, THE INDIAN AVIATION MINISTER HAS TAKEN ACTION AND HAS STARTED THE WORK OF BUILDING 200 NEW AIRPORTS BUT THIS PROJECT WAS DELAYED DUE TO COVID.

THE CASE OF THE A380 SO, ITS CLEAR THAT BUILDING NEW AIRPORTS WON’T BE A SUFFICIENT SHORT-TERM FIX. BUT WHAT INDIA NEEDS RIGHT NOW IS THE WAY TO ACCOMMODATE MORE PASSENGERS WITHOUT INCREASING THE TOTAL NO. OF PLANES AND THE A380 SEEMS LIKE THE PERFECT TOOL FOR THE JOB. THE A380 HAS THE ABILITY TO CARRY OVER 500 PASSENGERS AT ONCE AND A SINGLE A380 WILL DO THE JOB OF 4 NARROW PLANES. IN THEORY THIS CAN REDUCE TRAFFIC ON TAXIWAYS AND ON THE RUNWAYS AND INCREASE THE TOTAL NUMBER OF PASSENGERS AN AIRPORT CAN HANDLE BUT OF COURSE THE A380 NEVER MANAGED TO LIVE UP TO ITS POTENTIAL IT WAS PLAGUED BY TWO KEY WITNESSES ITS HIGH OPERATING COST AND ITS HIGH PURCHASING COST. THE PLANE IS A GAS GUZZLER AND IT CAN ONLY TURN A PROFIT IF AT LEAST 75% OF ITS SEATS ARE FULL AND THE PLANE IS HUGE SO FILLING IT CONSISTENTLY HAS BEEN A CHALLENGE FOR MANY AIRLINES AND THE NEW MODELS OF THE A380 HAVE AN ABSURD LIST PRICE OF 445 MILLION $ WHICH MAKES IT THE MOST EXPENSIVE COMMERCIAL JET OF ALL TIME. BUT THE DEMAND OF AIR TRAVEL IN INDIA IS SKYROCKETING AND THE SECOND HAND A380S ARE JUST FOR 40 MILLION $ AND THIS IS THE WAY THAT INDIA CAN OVERCOME THESE TWO OBSTACLES.

UPDATING THE INDIAN AIRPORTS AS WE ALL KNOW THAT THE A380 IS THE LARGEST COMMERCIAL JET IN THE WORLD AND IT NEEDS ICAO CODE F GATES FOR THE PASSENGERS BUT ONLY A FEW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS HAVE CODE F GATES BUT IF INDIA COULD MAKE MORE CODE F GATES IN THE NEW UPCOMING AIRPORTS, THEN THERE IS A CHANCE FOR SURVIVAL FOR THE A380. School picnic

School picnic is one of the best day of the academic year. We had so many great memories together. At first we had our school prayer followed by national anthem. Then we went to our buses after our attendance was done. During the bus ride we had a lot of fun listening to songs, talking and dancing a little. After one and half hour of bus ride we reached our destination, that is Sheru farms.

At sheru farms we first we had our breakfast and then went to play in the adventure garden. It was a lot of fun. After that we had a tractor ride touring the farm area. Then came the most highlighting part of the trip, Rain Dance. We had a huge blast over there, dancing and enjoying a lot. After dancing a lot we all were tired and hungry, so we had our lunch. After having our lunch we had a tattoo and a small magic show. We were given some free time to play with our friends too. Then came the most sad part of this day, the departure. We were all sad and didn't wanted to go, but alas we had to. After enjoying so much we went to our bus again and played some songs for sometime, but as everyone were tired and sleepy we stopped the songs after sometime and had a little rest. Atlast after 1 and half hour of bus ride again we reached our school. This is how our school picnic day ended with a lot of fun and memories together with our classmates and friends. by: Rajnandini

OUTREACH PROGRAM THE HOPE CENTRE

OUTREACH PROGRAMME TO HOPE CENTRE 2nd February 2023 “Kindness is giving hope to those who think they are all alone in this world.” We the students of St. Arnold's Central School (SACS) try our best to support and care for all forms of life. Today, 2nd February 2023, the students of SACS, class 8th C had gone to Human Organization for Pioneering in Education (HOPE) as our Outreach program. The HOPE center’s main purpose was to educate privileged children and to take care of them when their parents are working. The students were welcomed by the kids and the teachers. There were over 100 students who had been a part of HOPE. Few of them had gone to school as per the teacher had informed. The teachers asked us to interact with the kids over there. There were kids of all ages, a year old to 15-16 years. The kids were

shy at first moment to talk with us but gradually they all started socialising with us. We started playing games like Aam chori with them. They all were happy. We felt glad to share happiness with them and make the dull life of the kids feel special. After a few minutes, we were asked to be seated to enjoy the performances of the students as well as the kids. All of them performed very well. Some boys danced, a girl had a solo performance where in we were accompanying her, a boy also sang a song and our schoolgirls also had a dance performance and singing. Everyone performed very nicely. The hall where the children were present had study charts and drawings all over the walls. They had a toy and bookshelf section too. They also had a board on which the teacher used, to teach the students daily.

After the performances, we hand over the cheque of donation that 8th C had collected. It was the most memorable and proud glimpse as we were contributing towards humanity and helping many lives. We all are grateful for this day and all the smiles we tried to give to others. I would like to thank all the staff of the HOPE centre for making the future of kids bright. I would also like to thank our school for giving us chances like these to contribute towards society. I hope HOPE achieves more of this and becomes better and better for the bright future of kids and a better India. By:Eshika

FLORICULTURE FIELD TRIP

Our school had organised a field visit to ICAR-Directorate of Floriculture research,Hadapsar Pune on 10th feb 2023. It was established during a five year plan in the year 1970-71 in Shivaji Nagar Pune and another branch in Hadapsar in 2009. Floriculture is a branch of horticulture concerned with the cultivation of flowers and ornamental plants for gardens.

We were really excited after hearing about the field visit.School was going to make arrangements for travelling. We started our journey at 9:00am in the morning on our school bus. We were really excited after hearing about the field visit.School was goingto make arrangements for travelling. We started our journey at 9:00am in the morning on our school bus. We reached the venue at 11:00am. We saw a huge field of colourful flowers and greenery everywhere. We got information about various flowering, non-flowering plants, We also saw a beautiful white flower named Tuberose. The plant itself is surprising: Despite its name, a tuberose is not a rose. It is, in fact, a member of the agave family. They are often used in making Bouquet.

Tuberose Each flower had its own colour and smell. We enjoyed a lot and got a lot of knowledge of flowers. We left the destination at 12pm and reached the school at 1pm. It was a really fun visit to a floriculture. By - Aastha Shelar

FOOTBALL

My Football match Experience The match was at SP college. We were playing against Vibgyor. We arrived there 30 minutes early,we did a quick warmup and then started the match.Just after 10minutes the opposition scored a goal we were 1:0 down , I was a substitute, I came in the second half and scored a hat-trick. Yes we won the match By - ARSHAAN

\"Push Yourself, Because no one else is going to do it for you.\" I was eight when I was first introduced to football. My class-teacher Kavita Ma’am had suggested me to join the sport as I was a shy child at that time! On her suggestion I joined the football academy in our school. It was early summer. Brenton Sir was our head coach. First I started training at junior level to learn the basics of the game. Day by day I started liking this game. I was thirteen years old when I got selected in our school Under-14 Team. I was very excited because now I was going to represent my school with my colleagues. We used to come to school at 6:45 am daily for practice. And the day arrived, when I went to my first inter school match. We were going to play against Bishop’s School which is admired for its football team. I was very scared as it was my first match.

Our match was scheduled four hours later. Then I saw the Bishop’s Under-12 Team play and got goosebumps. The way they played was incredible. Competing against this team was a joyful as well as a learning experience. This game has taught me many things. It helped me to challenge my bad habits and inculcate good habits. I am able to overcome my laziness. I started eating nutritious food in place of junk food. Football has taught me hard work, teamwork, commitment, discipline and fitness. Football is not just a game, it is a religion! By:Pruthviraj
