2020 JUL 16 BEAUTY PROFESSIONAL CULVER CITY SAFE AT WORK GUIDE YOUR SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY This Safe at Work Guide has been developed to provide clear protocols to help you navigate while in the Culver City office. The measures outlined are designed to reduce risk, keep you safe and ensure the safety of those around you. A lot has happened behind the scenes to prepare the office for reentry. The Project Reunite Team, a cross-functional group of employees worked together to develop a comprehensive and cohesive reentry plan, taking into account our unique office and #AcademyofHair space. Note: Due to the rapidly changing aspects of Federal, State and City orders as well as our Henkel North America guidelines, areas of this guide may be subject to change. Please make sure to stay up to date on the latest communication provided by Henkel, your Project Reunite team or any other applicable governmental regulations or orders. To start, the team developed several new office procedures in accordance with federal, state, and Henkel guidelines. You will see these procedures implemented throughout the office, #AcademyofHair, salons and digital labs. A new entry process, which includes temperature scanning has been established. This process will ensure that individuals experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 will not enter the facility to ensure the safety of all our employees. 04

BEAUTY PROFESSIONAL CULVER CITY SAFE AT WORK GUIDE 2020 JUL 16 USE OF CLOTH FACE COVERINGS TO HELP SLOW THE SPREAD OF COVID-19 How to Wear Cloth Face Coverings Cloth face coverings should: Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face. Be secured with ties or ear loops. Include multiple layers of fabric. Allow for breathing without restriction. Be able to be laundered and machine dried without damage or change to shape. CDC on Homemade Cloth Face Coverings CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies), especially in areas of significant community-based transmission. CDC also advises the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others. Cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials at low cost can be used as an additional, voluntary public health measure. Cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the cloth face covering without assistance. The cloth face coverings recommended are not surgical masks or N-95 respirators. Those are critical supplies that must continue to be reserved for healthcare workers and other medical first responders, as recommended by current CDC guidance. 21
2020 JUL 16 BEAUTY PROFESSIONAL CULVER CITY SAFE AT WORK GUIDE Should cloth face coverings be washed or otherwise cleaned regularly? How regularly? Yes. They should be routinely washed depending on the frequency of use. How does one safely sterilize/clean a cloth face covering? A washing machine should suffice in properly washing a cloth face covering. How does one safely remove a used cloth face covering? Individuals should be careful not to touch their eyes, nose, and mouth when removing their cloth face covering and wash hands immediately after removing. TIPS FROM THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF OPHTHALMOLOGY TO HELP STOP FOGGING IF YOU WEAR GLASSES Fit your mask to your face. When putting on your mask, pull it up higher on your face. Also try pinching the top of the mask to fit the shape of your nose and tighten the sides for a good fit. Using an adhesives bandage to close the gap between the bridge of your nose and the top of your mask may also help. Wipe or wash your lenses before wearing them. An anti-fogging solution or gently washing your lenses with soap and water before wearing them may help keep water droplets from building up and fogging your lenses. Adjust your glasses. Pushing your glasses forward on your nose will allow more air to circulate and keep your breath from fogging up your vision. Rest your glasses over your face mask. Try pulling your mask up over your nose and rest your glasses on top of it. This blocks air from escaping and prevent fogging. 22
