การเลือกใช้ there is และ there are การเลือกว่าจะใช้ there is หรือ there are เราจะต้องดูคานามทตี่ ามหลงั ถ้าคานามเป็ น เอกพจน์ (มปี ริมาณหนึ่งหน่วย) เราจะต้องใช้ there is แต่ถ้าคานามเป็ นพหูพจน์ (มีปริมาณ ต้งั แต่สองหน่วยขนึ้ ไป) เราจะต้องใช้ there are

สาหรับคานามนับไม่ได้ ซึ่งไม่มีรูป พหูพจน์ เราจะต้องใช้ there is เท่าน้ัน
