That Luang Stupa was rebuilt in 1566 by King Setthathirath only 4 km from the centre of Vientiane. It consists of three levels; each level reflects a part of the Buddha’s doctrine. ………………………………………… It is a 100 metre high hill in the centre of the old town. It lies between the Mekong River and the Nam Khan River. There are several Buddhist shrines at the top of the hill. It’s the most important Buddhist temple to the local.
