Titusville Logistics CenterTThe new Logistics Center is near completion south of Titusville on US1. he 246,240-square-foot Titusville Logistics Center is nearing completion. This progress moves Phase 1 of the project closer to its July 2016 completiondate. Located just south of the Space Coast RegionalAirport, the complex is being developed by Flagler GlobalLogistics, one of Florida’s oldest and largest commercialreal estate companies.The Canaveral Port Authority is currently weighing theoption to purchase the building from Flagler GlobalLogistics with an estimated price tag of almost $20million. The vote took place in February and thedecision now rests with the prospective tenant.The building is expected to handle awide array of imports and exportsmoving through Port Canaveral,ranging from food to automotiveparts, and construction materials toclothing.Completion is expected at the end ofMay, 2016. The Brix Project BreweryCThe former Lighting Industrial building is morphing into the Brix Project along US1 in Titusville.onstruction is well underway at the former company plans to invest $1.4 million in capital expendituresLighting Industrial building on U.S. 1 in Titusville, to support their manufacturing process. The company alsoas Playlinda Brewing Company expands their plans to include an on-site restaurant and retail operationcraft brewing operations that will include distilled as part of the brewery facility. Completion is expected 4thspirits production. Crews have been working for the past quarter of 2016.few months as the existing 16,000 square-foot facilitytransforms into The Brix Project.The expanded brewing and distilling operations willoversee production of upwards of 30,000 barrel annually,making it the second largest craft brewery in a 120-mileradius of the city.The Brewery intends to hire 23 people for the facilitylocated at 5220 S. Embraer Aero Seating TechnologiesEThe new Embraer Aero Seating facility is taking shape along Armstrong Drive in Titusville. mbraer Aero Seating Technologies’ (EAST) new manufacturing plant is well under construction. A subsidiary of Embraer, one of the world’s largestmanufacturers of commercial jets, this $3.5 million capitalinvestment in Titusville will house the design andproduction of airplane seats and related equipment used inthe company’s line of executive jets.Groundbreaking on the 50,000-sq-ft facility occurred inSeptember 2015, and local building contractor RUSHConstruction is making steady progress on the facility.Already, the administration building and industrial plant aretaking shape, with completion expected in March 2017.This new manufacturing plant will be the fourth BrevardCounty-based facility for Embraer and its first within thecity of Titusville. This is also the first major project to takeplace within the aerospace focused Spaceport CommercePark in Titusville.The company expects to employ 150 people, paying anannual average wage of about $48,000 each. The company plans to employ 40 people at this location. Paragon Plastics endorsed Governor Scott’s million dollar tax package and Enterprise Florida Fund, noting the pro-business environment created in Florida during recent years influenced them to expand their company. “We have just started building our new facility in Titusville, which is breaking ground as we speak,” commented Amy Powell, administrative director. “Both the sales tax exemption and a dedicated incentive fund are definite requirements to achieve job growth in Florida.” In June 2015, Titusville City Council approved a six-year, 60% ad valorem tax abatement for this project.Above: Firefighter training in Texas. 8
