HOLIDAY TREK We will be holding our Holiday PROGRAMME Trek Programme (HTP) with the theme of WOW! this year. 2019 Your pre- and primary-school children will learn about the life of Joseph in the Old Testament of the Bible. Through God’s Words of Wisdom (WOW!), they will learn how to react when they are angry and also to trust in God to guide them, especially in the area of forgiveness concerning the people who have hurt them. The HTP is a programme for churches who have their family camps during the June and December school holidays, either locally or overseas. It is catered to pre-school (4-6 years old) and primary-aged (7-11 y.o.) children – separate programmes for the two groups to cater to differences in learning abilities and relative maturity. Scripture Union children’s ministry staff and volunteers will be deployed to teach and run the programme while the adults have their own sessions. This programme can also be used for your church children’s Vacation Bible School if you are not conducting a church camp. For engagements or enquiries, please call us at +65 6337 1437, or email Monica Sham at [email protected] or Maryjane Yong at [email protected]. A SPECIAL FROM SU RESOURCES: TheThis year, SU Resources is BPirbobeleproud to introduce the Bible Probe Series, six books for SeriesBible Study based on the Minor Prophets in the Old Testament. Originally a joint project between SU Movements in Australia and Singapore in the 1970s, the Bible Probe Series is targeted towards older children and younger youths (ages 10-14) and contains a summary of the book and “talking points” – questions for discussion and reflection based on the passage of the day which will stimulate thinking and make the material applicable to everyday living. It is suitable for small group study. As a pilot run, SU Singapore will be re-publishing the study on Haggai (with the rest to follow depending on interest). It is a message of renewal and returning to the Lord, and seeking His favour once again – as much for us as for the church in this season. It will be available in the third quarter of 2019. There is no fixed price on the book, but a love offering to cover printing and design costs would be greatly appreciated. If you are interested, and would like a free sample, please email Scripture Union Singapore Communications at [email protected]. You can make an order at the same email address.
