El Tahrir Events WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP SERIES RC Of ElTahriri launched its first in a series of talks on Women in Leadership with a special speaker, Mrs. Nahla Zeitoun, Senior Protection Specialist at the World Bank. Mrs . Zeitoun presented a recent the Women’s Economic Empowerment Study which looks at barriers and opportunities for women’s empowerment in Egypt, factual based data regarding women’s participation in the labor force and unconscious cultural biases towards working women . The very interesting report offered some recommendations for gender interventions. Kids Diet: Eat Right Stay Bright Dr. Ahmed El Beleidy, former Head of the Pediatrics Department at the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University gave a brilliant an inspiring talk about habits and lifestyle choices and their effects on people and newborn babies. He also commented on the Egyptian practices that are contrary to the healthy growth of children such as rewarding good behaviour with chocolates instead of fruits. Dr. El Beleby was a charismatic and captivating speaker using humor and interaction to keep his audience hooked. The talk was attended by DG Sherif Waly and organized in partnership with 3 District Committees.

October is the month of the Economic and Community Development and microcredits. RC of ElTahrir attended on October 20 the The Economic Development District Committee In collaboration with Al Shorouk Rotary club.. Speakers included DG Sherif Waly, PP Maha Khairy District Chair & AG Hamdy Ellaithy. The committee explained its strategy and plans for 2019-2020 which includes 7,000 jobs for those in need, and a number of bazaars such as Masriya to support SMEs.
