MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT MEMBERSHIP The Engine That Drives All Rotary Engines Membership is the most integral part of Rotary. The Rotarian is the most important constituent in Rotary; because without that member, there would be no Rotary. That’s why, membership is the engine that drives all engines in Rotary. Not only is membership growth vital to the health of the club, but also, membership development within the Rotary community, chisels and formulates the Rotarian working on the ground, by further enhancing the member’s knowledge base, training taps into our resources and allows us to reach new heights in our giving capacity. The Rotary Club of El Tahrir understands that growth of our members is fundamental; because it is the advance that drives fresh initiatives and adapts new strategies to tackle old problems in the community in which we serve. With new interests the club is reinvigorated; bringing in new classifications, consequently new talents, energy and ultimately future leaders. At the RC of El Tahrir, we understand that our biggest asset is each Tahririan in our Rotary Family. So, who is responsible for Membership Growth, in Tahrir? Each one of us. “Every Rotarian” is responsible to spread the word about our work, to engage the community in each of our professional fields and to drive the change around us. That understanding takes us from being observers, or part of the problem and transforms us to be a basic part of the solution, thereby bringing “Peace to the Community”. Another element of drive that Tahrir stands by is the idea of team. We do work and operate like family, in fact that’s one of the characteristics I think every Tahririan, would agree with; but it is the spirit of a united front that glue us together, regardless of our differences. Teamwork is the collaborative effort of Tahrir, to achieve a common goal or to complete a task in the most effective and efficient way. This concept is seen within the greater framework of our club, which is a group of interdependent individuals who work together towards a common goal. Thank you for reading. El Tahrir News Yehia Saleh, District Rotract Committee Chair delivered a compelling argument why Rotracts don’t join their Rotary Club once they reach the age of 30. “It’s not the dues or the time required, or the attitude they face from the old timers who have ‘done everything,’ already or the insistence on not rocking the boat. For Rotractors, It is the fact that their clubs don’t know anything about their Rotractors (and in some cases that clubs even have a Rotract) until it is time to recruit them. They are not included in any meetings, planning, projects or advise. And they receive non. They are not empowered. The lecture which was hosted by RC of El Tahrir jointly with RC of Nile Valley was attended by DG Sherif Wally.

El Tahrir Joint Cooperations RC of El Tahrir is currently participating in the preparatory meetings for three clusters: • The Diamond Cluster composed of 7 clubs who are presenting and discussing several proposed projects for the cluster to implement this year. The final project is yet to be finalized. • The Etisalat Medical Convoy to Badr City where RC of El Tahrir will be participating with volunteers (Rotary and Rotaracts), medicine, two clinics and some giveaways. • The Manial Sultan Village which is a multi-faceted projects to rehabilitate a village. The project includes 8 clubs so far.

Rotary Club of El Tahrir joins 13 other clubs and the Disease Prevention Committee in preparation for the Etisalat Medical Convoy to Badr City scheduled for August 30 (postponed to September 6). In addition to a large number of volunteers from RC of ElTahrir and Rotaract El Tahrir, the club will be managing the pharmacy and 2 clinics. Taking the organizing lead for El Tahrir is VP Hala Allawy. ‫رشاكات وتعاون‬

‫اجتمعت لجنة الأمومة والطفولة للعام الروتاري ‪2019/2020‬‬ ‫برئاسة دكتور ‪/‬أحمد راشد وبحضور ممثلي ‪7‬أندية ‪:-‬‬ ‫العبور –هليوبوليس الشروق ‪-‬هليوبوليس سبورتينج –التحرير –كايرو ساوث –يوتوبيا وتم‬ ‫عرض الرؤية العامة لنشاط لجنة الأمومة والطفولة وقام الدكتور أحمد راشد بطرح الأفكار‬ ‫والمشروعات المقترحة‬ ‫والتي تركزت في ‪4‬مشروعات رئيسية‬ ‫**عمل كارت ‪ID‬للتطعيمات الإجبارية للأطفال‬ ‫**حضانات الأطفال‬ ‫**تنظيم الأسرة‬ ‫**توعية ودعم المرآة‬ ‫ناقش الحضور المشروعات السابق ذكرها وتبادلوا وجهات النظر واتفقوا على عقد اجتماع‬ ‫ثاني في الفترة المقبلة لوضع الخطوط العريضة ومراحل التنفيذ ‪.‬‬ ‫رشاكات وتعاون‬

‫قسم أبقراط‬ ‫‪Members Articles‬‬ ‫د أمل السيس ي‪ .‬ا‬ ‫أستاذ طب الأطفال جامعة القاهرة مستشفي أبو الريش‬ ‫آداب مهنة الطب قديمة منذ ازل التاريخ يلخصها قسم ابقراط (سنة ‪400‬قبل الميلاد )الذي اقتبسه اليونانيون من قدماء‬ ‫المصريين‪...‬وينص هذا القسم علي ان يؤدي الطبيب عمله علي اكمل وجه‪...‬وان يحول المريض الي طبيب آخر مختص في حالة عدم‬ ‫اختصاصه ‪..‬والا يتعدي علي زميل له في المهنة ‪.‬وان يحترم خصوصية مريضه والا يسبب له‬ ‫اذي من اي نوع والا يفش ي سر مريضه في حالة دخوله بيته ‪.‬والا يستغل نفوذه كطبيب أو ضعف مريضه وجهله بالشئون الطبية ‪.‬ان‬ ‫مهنة الطب تختلف تماما عن اي مهنة اخري ‪.‬هذه المهنة التي اقتصرت علي الكهنة ورجال الدين في العصور القديمة ‪.‬هذه المهنة التي‬ ‫يجب علي من يزاولها ان يتحلي بمستوي اخلاقي سامي فوق كل الشبهات والظنون ‪.‬ان ثقة المريض بالطبيب ينبغي أن تصل ألي حد‬ ‫القداسة التي لا تشوبها شائبة والايمان الذي لا يعكر صفوه شك ‪.‬فالطبيب ينطبق عليه قول المولي \"من أحيا نفسا كأنما أحيا الناس‬ ‫جميعا ‪\".‬وشفاء المرض ى من صفات المسيح عليه السلام ‪.‬فليتشبه الأطباء بالأنبياء ‪.‬‬ ‫فلماذا اذا تطالعنا الصحف يوميا بقصص تقلل من شأن الطب والأطباء في مصر ‪.‬فهذا طبيب اصدر شهادة وفاة لطفل حي تم ايداعه‬ ‫ثلاجة حتي توفي فعلا ‪.‬وذاك مدير مؤسسة طبية عريقة متهم بالسرقة والآختلاس من اموال الدولة المخصصة لفقراء المرض ي ‪.‬والأمر‬ ‫الأقس ى والأمر استاذ جامعي يقوم بالتزوير في نتائج الأمتحانات ‪.‬وأخيرا الأتجار بقرارات علاج المرض ي الفقراء ‪.‬وغيرها من الممارسات و‬ ‫الأخبار المؤسفة التي اصابتنا جميعا مرض ي واطباء بالأحباط الشديد ‪.‬فهل أصاب مهنة الطب الفساد الذي أصاب المجتمع المصري؟ هل‬ ‫مرضانا في مأمن عندما يستسلموا تماما للأطباء المعالجين؟ أعتقد اننا ما زلنا بخير ولكن يجب تصحيح كثير من الأوضاع الخاطئة‪.‬‬ ‫يجب أولا اعادة الثقة في الطبيب المصري الذي رغم سوء حاله يمارس مهنته بكل شرف وامانة واتقان ‪.‬يجب التعامل مع الأطباء مثل‬ ‫رجال الدين واعطائهم الهيبة والاحترام الذي يليق بهم ‪.‬يجب علي نقابة الأطباء ان توجه كل اهتمامها الي الطبيب المصري وتحسن من‬ ‫أحواله المعيشية ‪.‬هناك تقصير شديد من النقابة في دعم الطبيب المصري والمطالبة بحقوقه من رفع المرتبات وتعويضات مخاطر المهنة‬ ‫وغيرها ‪.‬كيف تطالب النقابة وأعضاءها بحقوق أهل غزة يوميا وترفع الشعارات لذلك وحقوق الطبيب المصري ضائعة ؟ فما يحتاجه‬ ‫البيت يحرم علي الجامع ‪.‬يجب علي الاعلام ان يكف يده عنا ‪.‬وأن يشجع ويساعد ألأطباء علي أداء مهمتهم السامية ‪.‬وان يدعمهم في‬ ‫المطالبة بحقوقهم بدلا من التشهير بهم ‪.‬يجب علي العامة والمرض ي ان يعلموا أن هذه الممارسات الفاسدة نحن الأطباء أبرياء منها ‪.‬لقد‬ ‫صدرت من علية القوم في مناصب ادارية وليس من الأطباء الذين يسهرون علي راحتهم ‪.‬ولابد أن يعلم كل من يريد أن يمتهن هذه المهنة‬ ‫من الشباب انها لن تقوده ابدا الي الثراء ‪.‬فمن يريد الثراء عليه ان يمارس التجارة أو البورصة أوغيرها ‪.‬الأطباء ليسوا اغنياء في جميع دول‬ ‫العالم‪.‬‬ ‫ثم يأتي أهم عامل في تشكيل الطبيب المصري الشاب ألا وهو دور اساتذة الجامعات الذين يجب أن يكونوا قدوة حسنة لطلبة كليات‬ ‫الطب في مصر ‪.‬يجب أن يتم تدريس مادة آداب المهنة في المقرر الجامعي ‪.‬يجب ان يقوم الطلبة منذ السنة الأولي في كليات الطب‬ ‫بالحضور الأكلينيكي مع الأساتذة خصوصا في الطوارئ والرعاية الحرجة ليتذوقوا في مقتبل حياتهم السعادة التي تصاحب انقاذ مريض‬ ‫بين الحياة والموت ‪.‬ان كليات الطب في الخارج تجعل كل استاذ في تخصصه مسئول عن خمسة طلبة في المتوسط يلازمونه كظله ‪.‬‬ ‫يتعلمون آداب المهنة قبل القواعد الطبية التي يمكن قراءتها في الكتب ‪.‬ليروا بأنفسهم كيف يضحي الطبيب براحته و بمواعيد وجباته و‬ ‫بمواعيد اسرته في سبيل المرض ي ‪.‬هل يعلم الناس أن بنك الدم في القصر العيني يعتمد كثيرا علي تبرعات الأطباء هناك بدمائهم بسبب‬ ‫النقص الشديد به ‪.‬‬ ‫وأخيرا لا يسعني سوي أن أقدم كل تحية للطبيب المصري العظيم ‪.‬الذي زخر التاريخ بقصصه المشرفة منذ عهد الفراعنة ‪.‬والذي يعمل‬ ‫في صمت بكل جد واحتهاد رغم قلة دخله ‪.‬الفئة الوحيدة في مصر التي لم تعتصم رغم سوء أحوالهم ‪.‬وأن اقول لهم استمروا فانتم فخر‬ ‫لهذا الوطن‪.‬‬

‫مقالات من الأعضاء‬ \"The Ozone Hole is Healing” By Mohamed Ali Happy news, but how did this happen? and what is the role of Rotary in this? This came when scientists discovered that the main cause of the ozone hole is human activities, and chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), commercially known as (Freon), play a major role in this phenomenon. These chemical compounds were manufactured in 1928; Vehicles are non-flammable and non-toxic as well. These compounds have many uses in the field of air conditioning, refrigeration and cleaning of electronic parts, as well as in sprays that emit insecticides, deodorants and perfumes, and foam industries which involve in the industries of construction insulations sponges, refrigerators, heaters and many other industries. CFCs accumulate in the upper layers of the atmosphere and rises there in large quantities over time. The chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) in the ozone e layer decompose from ultraviolet radiation. These compounds release chlorine gas, which damages the ozone layer and dislodges the oxygen atoms that form the ozone itself, due to the lack of ozone to the chlorine atoms; One chlorine to analyze nearly 100,000 molecules of ozone in successive reactions.also ozone hole can also occur due to swirls and currents, such as the hole in the Antarctic. The action started When a group of countries adopted the Montreal Protocol in 1997 which provided for the protection of the ozone layer by taking precautionary measures to control the total global emissions of the substances they are depleting, with the ultimate goal of eliminating them, On the basis of developments in scientific knowledge ... with the recognition of special items to meet the needs of developing countries and entered the implementation phase in1999. Egypt was one of the first countries to introduce the protocol, which was a major challenge cause of existence many industries that rely heavily on the gases (Freon), however The Ministry of Environment has set up a special unit for the adaptation and refinement of the terms of the agreement in partnership with UNDP, UNIDO and the systematic companies operating with CFC, especially the companies involved in the field of polymers used for heat insulation. It was also considered that the alternatives should not effect on global warming obstruction of the Earth, which represents the next challenge to preserve the planet. Some of these are funded by grants from UNDP and UNIDO organizations and some are self-investment to work on development to use safe alternatives to the Freon. Wherefore Egypt is expected to be declared free of banned CFC by the end of 2019. The role of the Rotary Association is to contribute to environmental awareness through its members working in this field, who have established the spirit of social participation and responsibility towards their society, not only through financial and visual support but also but also through their work associated with these industries and to provide environmental awareness and work hardly to find solutions and persuade companies to stop use of (Freons) and use the alternatives instead of it, by providing them training , logistical , technical support and financial aids through UNDP and UNIDO organizations .this efforts led to the success of exit of large quantities of hazard freons from egypt. Which led to a significant improvement in the ozone layer and this was announced by the US space agency \"NASA\" that the huge hole located in ozone layer which protects the planet from harmful radiation, is shrinking and has shrunk to its smallest size since 1988. The maximum amplitude of the ozone layer this year, the hole reached 7.6 million square miles, an area nearly two and a half times the size of the United States, which is less than 1.3 million square miles from September last year. Finally this news about the improvement of the Ozone layer considered a grant of god and strong incentive for all those who contributed and make an effort to improve environmental conditions to complete the path of conservation of the environment

‫قام اليوم محافظ المنطقة شريف والي في احتفال بهيج‬ ‫أقيم بمكتبة الإسكندرية تدريب المنطقة للروتاراكت‬ ‫بافتتاح اول بئر شاطيء في محافظة القليوبية و الذي قام‬ ‫بحضور و رعاية محافظ المنطقة شريف والى و ممثل‬ ‫علاء ‪.‬بتنفيذه روتاري مصر بحضور محافظ القليوبية د‬ ‫منطقة الروتاراكت اهلة جادو و عدد كبير من المتحدثين‬ ‫منهم منسق لجان الشباب دينا قطب و معاون محافظ‬ ‫عبد الحليم و المهندس ممدوح رسلان رئيس الشركة‬ ‫مروان منتصر و رئيس لجنة الريلا داليا سامى وعضو لجنة‬ ‫القابضة للمياه و مهندس مصطفي مجاهد رئيس شركة‬ ‫الزمالة والسلام رنيا البنا كما حضر رس سامح حميدو و‬ ‫مياه الشرب بالقليوبية و عدد من قيادات المنطقة الروتارية‬ ‫الزميلة الروتارية داليا الصاوى والزميل الروتارى معتز عبد‬ ‫الله و الزملية الروتارية رحاب البنا ‪....‬حضر اكثر كن ثلاثين‬ ‫و لجنة المياه بالمنطقة برئاسة امين صبري‬ ‫نادى روتاراكت و شهدت جميع الندوات تقاعل عالى مبشر‬ ‫يؤدى الى مزيد من التعاون والاندماج بين الروتارى و‬ ‫الروتاركت‪.‬‬ ‫‪District News & Events‬‬

RC of El Tahrir attended the Membership Awareness Workshop hosted by Cairo Nile Valley at Safir Hotel and contributed to the discussion on recruiting new members and retaining current members. A second workshop was hosted by RC Zayed on the 26th of August. District News & Events

‫‪A Message from the Community Service‬‬ ‫تم اختيار الروتاري الدولي لمدينة شرم الشيخ لإقامة أول‬ ‫مؤتمر أفريقي لاقليم ‪- ٢٢‬الذي يتم خلاله تدريب المحافظين‬ ‫بناءا على رغبه محافظ الم‪.‬ن‪e‬ط‪e‬ق‪tt‬ة‪i‬ش‪m‬ري‪m‬ف‪o‬و‪C‬الي تم الاتفاق على‬ ‫القادمين و المسميين ‪.‬و قد انضم روتاري مصر الي اقليم ‪٢٢‬‬ ‫العمل على تنميه ‪٣‬قري تنميه شامله تتضمن توصيل مياه‬ ‫افريقيا بدءا من هذا العام الروتاري ‪. ٢٠٢٠/٢٠١٩‬وسيقام‬ ‫وتعريش اسقف و عمل دورات مياه و تجديد البيوت لتوفير حياه‬ ‫علي هامش المؤتمر ملتقي الروتاري الأفريقي لرجال الأعمال ‪-‬‬ ‫كريمه‪ ،‬بالإضافة الي مشروعات متناهية الصغر لتحسين الدخل‬ ‫و الحياة المعيشية مع عمل قوافل طبيه لعلاج أهل القري‪.‬‬ ‫بالقاهرة يوم ‪١‬أكتوبر ‪٢٠١٩‬‬ ‫و سيتم العمل بتلك القرى من خلال لجنه خدمه المجتمع للعام‬ ‫الروتارى ‪،٢٠١٩/٢٠٢٠‬ووقع الاختيار على تنمية القري التاليه‬ ‫حيث انها الاكثر احتياجا و الأشد فقرا؛‬ ‫‪- ١‬قريه الريان‪ ،‬يوسف الصديق ‪-‬محافظه الفيوم ‪.‬‬ ‫‪- ٢‬قريه الحمراوين ‪-‬محافظه البحر الأحمر‪.‬‬ ‫‪-٣‬قريه الشغب ‪-‬محافظة الأقصر‪.‬‬ ‫و الاعمال المخططة بتلك القرى تتضمن توصيل مياه الي ‪٣٠٠‬‬ ‫منزل وسنبدأ العمل في قريه الريان بمحافظه الفيوم و سوف‬ ‫يقام بتعريش ‪٢٥‬منزل من كل قريه‪.‬علما بان تكلفه المنزل الواحد‬ ‫هى ‪٤٥‬الف جم متضمنة توصيل مياه و تعريش اسقف و عمل‬ ‫دورات مياه و دهانات و كهرباء‪ ،‬وأرضيات لتحويله الى منزل يصون‬ ‫الكرامة و يصلح لحياه كريمه ‪.‬‬ ‫تم الاتفاق مع شركه المياه علي أسعار خاصه و تخفيضات‬ ‫لتوصيل المياه و العداد في قرية الريان بالفيوم‪.‬‬ ‫و قام محافظ المنطقه الروتاريه شريف والي و أعضاء اللجنه‬ ‫بزياره قريه الريان بيوسف الصديق يوم الاحد الموافق ‪٢٨‬يوليو‪،‬‬ ‫و تقرر بدء العمل بتلك القرية بعد زيارتها‪.‬‬ ‫‪District News & Events‬‬

The First and Second President’s and Secretaries meeting were held, one in Alexandria and one in Cairo to brief members about new and important issues related to the Rorary District 2451 as well as the Rotary International. Topics included, Branding, membership, the Zone Institute, the Conference, the Convention, Citations, Legal, Friendship Exchange as well as an opening speech by DG Sherif Wally. RC of El Tahrir attended with several members including the President, the VP, the HS, the Sargent-at-Arms and several Committee heads and members.
