P Nesrine Rifaat VP Hala Allawy HS & PE Indjie Hafez [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] GARDENING TOWARDS A HEALTHIER ENVIRONMENT Growing a garden is not only good for you it is also good for the environment because it reduces the carbon footprint of your food by decreasing the number of miles it takes to get food from the farm to your kitchen table. If you plant trees, it helps store carbon from the atmosphere into the soil. This is how RC of El Tahrir instructs the boys at Dar El Hana on practical environmental sciences. The project is lead by Dr. Taha Tawfik and P Nesrine Rifaat. As work begins on this initiative, today, paving the road for future more environmentally aligned projects. . 10 #PeopleOfAction

MES INTERACT EL TAHRIR @BENI SUEIF The Interact Club of MES-El Tahrir have conducted a field visit this weekend, on Saturday March 24th, 2019 to the school which they sponsored in Al Wasta Cluster of Schools in Beni Sueif. The project is a D2451 project, under the protocol agreement signed last year between the Governorate of Beni Sueif and the Basic Education & Literacy Committee last year. The project entails teacher and student capacity building to achieve higher output results in reading and writing. The Interact Club of MES-El Tahrir raised funds to sponsor the school independently. The project showcases collaborative efforts showing significant improvements in results. #PeopleOfAction 13
