Research Your Employer: Make sure you do your homework, find out allyou can about the company you are applying to. This allows you to give intelligent answers, as well as how you can be part of their team. Who Is Interviewing You?When asked to attend an interview, ask who you will be meeting with, and their role in the company. If possible, use LinkedIn or Google to look the person up, learn about your interviewer. Find something in common to talk about during interview, don't go over board1 Grooming and Attire: Noone has ever NOT got the job because theywere well groomed. Bottom line, first impressionsare everything. Dress for success, and hygiene is included. Firm Handshake! A strong personality is clearly projected through afirm handshake. Don.t squeeze too hard, just firm. SMILE, TAKE A DEEP BREATH!
Answering Questions: Always maintain eye contact when answeringquestions. Looking away could imply that you are bored, or not interested, or maybe even inadequate. Answer the question that is asked,think before you speak, don't ramble on. Remainconcise, providing short answers that answer the question directly. Never Bad Mouth! Don't ever engage in bad mouthing a formeremployer, coworker, friend, etc. Talking negativeof former employers definitely hurts your chances. It leaves the employer to think what you will say about him/her if the job doesnt work out. Don't Ask Silly Questions!Don't ask questions that don't matter yet. Asking what your salary will be, when vacation will be, how benefits work, etc, does NOT matter until they actually decide you are hired. BE CONFIDENT AND DRESS FOR SUCCESS!
