Ethnic OverseasFURNITURE AND DECOR ACCESSORIESEXPORT HOUSEAt Ethnic Overseas and its sister concern,Henna Crafts Overseas; I worked as adesigner. Perks of joining a smalladministrative team were that I got tohandle sales, supervise production, join themanagement and could do tasks which arebeyond my work profile. I mainly learnt woodworking, carvingtechniques, polishes and finishes.Technicalities of furniture making helped merelate my creativity to reality andsustainability of a design.I learnt about distressed finishes andexperimented with different mediums andmaterials.

Furniture Design  At Karigiri, we designed pieces according to the customer's requirements and specifications. Therefore, a chance of inventions was comparatively less. However, learning about the client's needs and working within limits was a great experience. The attached images are a few designs that had major changes and involved innovative ideas by me. 

VISUALCOMMUNICATIONI did photo-shoot styling and visualmerchandising for the company, atit's flagship store Karigiri, in Delhi.These photos are now on theofficial website and have also comein the newspaper advertisements,like in Hindustan Times Delhi, etc.Apart from this, these photos havebeen put up on the website of thecompany and e-portals likeFacebook, Instagram, Karftly.com,etc.



E-Marketing andGraphic Design

Additional informationApart from designing at Ethnic Overseas, I havealso done content writing for them. The contenthas been published in news papers, sent out tointernational and domestic clients anduploaded on the website. A joined collection, with an intern is underproduction. The upcoming collection will have aset of tables, a console, a set of pendant lightsand table accessories.At my current workplace, I have learnt aboutdistressed finishes, worked with waterbased/plastic paints and learnt about variouscarving techniques.
