SSC Full Form: SSC Stands For Staff Selection Commission; it is a very important organization of the Indian government that conducts recruitment exams for various posts in various departments and ministries. SSC is considered a major body of the Department of Personnel and Training, this body is run by a chairman, two members, and a secretary-cum-controller of examinations. SSC also stands for Secondary School Certificate; this exam is conducted by many boards like CBSE and state boards for 10th-grade students. SSC was established in the year 1975; it has been active since then recruiting staff for Group B and C posts. SSC conducts various exams for this post and then finally they select the eligible candidate. SSC Full Form in bank is a Small Saver Certificate; it is completely different from what we are discussing in this article.

The main examinations conducted by SSC are: Junior Engineer Exam- JE exam Combined Graduate Level Exam- CGL exam Multitasking Staff Exam- MTS exam Central Police Organization Exam- CPO exam Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam- CHSL exam General Duty Exam for Constables- GD exam Stenographer Exam Eligibility: The minimum required educational qualification for these SSC exams is the candidate must be at least undergraduate i.e. 12th pass. Candidates can get a job if they work hard and understand what SSC Means in terms of education. However, most of the posts mentioned above have a minimum requirement for the educational qualification as graduation. SSC Syllabus: The Staff Selection Commission decides on the SSC exam pattern and syllabus for all the related posts. The main objective of this is to give candidates a clear idea about the syllabus and exam pattern, they can easily collect the study material for exam preparation.

The exams are conducted annually for all the posts in various departments. All these sectors will come under the Government of India. We cannot be sure of the SSC syllabus as it gets updated and revised once every three-four years. You have to be in touch with regular updates for knowing the latest syllabus. Before filling out the application form, candidates must be aware of the whole exam pattern and syllabus to avoid last-minute confusion. SSC bank salary may differ from the salary of the Staff Selection Commission. As these fields are completely different we cannot compare their salary. It is better to pursue your career in the field you have an interest in. We will discuss the process of recruiting candidates for the above- mentioned examinations. Junior Engineer Exam- JE exam The SSC conducts a JE exam every year for recruiting Junior Engineers in the fields of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Quantity Surveying and contracts- related posts for different departments and organizations in the Indian Government.

Combined Graduate Level Exam- CGL exam The SSC conducts CGL examinations annually to select the staff members for different posts in different ministries, organizations, and departments. All of these will come under the Government of India. The minimum educational requirement for the CGL exam is that the candidate must be a graduate of a well- recognized university. Multitasking Staff Exam- MTS exam In this category, MTS exams are conducted by SSC to recruit candidates who are eligible to do multitasking jobs. These are the departments and positions that come under the Central Government of India. Central Police Organization Exam- CPO exam The SSC conducts the CPO exams for the candidates who are willing to join the Police such as Sub-inspector, Central Armed Police Forces, and Assistant Sub- Inspector of Police. The minimum educational requirement for the CPO exam is the candidate must be a graduate of a recognized university.

Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam- CHSL exam CHSL posts come under various departments and categories; the recruiting process and eligibility criteria are the same as the other posts. General Duty Exam for Constables- GD exam SSC conducts a GD exam every year to recruit eligible aspirants for the posts of General Duty Constable in Border Security Force, Secretariat Security Force, etc. The recruitment process for these posts is done by Memorandum of Understanding which is mutually agreed upon by the SSC and Home Affairs Ministry. Stenographer Exam SSC stenographer is an exam where the candidates are recruited for the post of Stenographer Grade C and D in various departments, organizations, and ministries. Grade C means non-gazetted posts. This is an All India Level Examination that is conducted by SSC every year. Candidates from all over India can apply for these posts.
