ARTICLE Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Saluting India, where each bud blooms in its true color, where each day is a celebration of unity, harmony, and synthesis. Happy Independence Day! India celebrated its 75th independence day on 15 August 2022 under the theme “ Nation first, always first\". This day honors our freedom fighters, the history of our freedom, its culture, and the nation’s achievement as a whole. This year's Independence Day celebration was under the banner “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” and was dedicated to all the people of India who were not only instrumental in bringing India on its evolutionary journey but also hold within them the power and potential to fuel Prime Minister's vision of “ Atmanirbhar Bharat “. To mark the 75th Independence Day several campaigns, programs, and events had taken place across the globe. The official journey of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav commenced on 12 March 2021 which started a 75-week countdown that will end in 2023. The most celebrated campaign of the day was “Har Ghar Tiranga“, citizens across the world hosted the Indian flag or placed it in their offices, houses, and workplaces to show their dedication to the theme. This Independence Day was also most awaited because it was the very first-time people came out of their houses to host the flag, as a public event after the Covid-19 pandemic. The day also marked India's successful journey in vaccinating 214 crore citizens. There were five themes under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav:- Freedom struggle – As the name suggests it focuses on recalling the sacrifice of our freedom fighters. Ideas@75 – This brings the spotlight on the ideas and themes that had shaped India so far and also encourages revolutionary opinions that would shape India further for its Amrit Kaal i.e 100th Independence Day. Resolve @75 – This day focuses on ideas to shape a better India through programs under “constitution day“, and \"good governance day\". Achievement@75 – This event highlights the achievements of our country as a whole. Action @ 75 – This focuses on various projects that are under execution for the welfare of our country. With the above-mentioned themes and active participation of citizens, the celebration of the 75th independence day was a memorable experience. The whole country was painted in colors of zeal and enthusiasm of patriotism, joy, and peace but the event had not yet ended, the celebration will continue till 2023 under the themes in regular intervals. So hold on my dear fellow citizens there is more to come! Jai Hind! Rtr. Jyotishree Sahi 11 | THE PRIDORA | August 2022

Editorial : \"THIS TOO SHALL PASS\" -Rtr. Rishita Mahak We smiled at each other while savoring the best of ice creams. But I had a weird feeling today as I did not want my daughter to go to school. Although there was no raid alarms today, and everything was good but things felt too good to be true. Her school was 20 kilometers away from our place. I went along with her and she bid me goodbye with a sweet smile and said—\"Oto san, don’t you worry so much about the ongoing war situation. We will be living our normal lives soon.\" While moving towards the entrance of her school, she thought something and ran towards me and whispered in my ears—\"Oto san, Kore mo sugisaru\" [ Father, this too shall pass] and went back to her school. It was a beautiful morning, and everyone was out enjoying the absence of raid alarms and warning signals. While I was enjoying this scenic beauty, suddenly an old man yelled \"Fire\" and there was a complete rush in the city. I saw blue skies turning completely white, like a million cameras, going off at once, and within a minute or two, there was complete darkness. We were too stunned to move for about 15 minutes. I was shocked to discover that the bomb was dropped 15-20 kilometers away from our city, where my daughter’s school was situated. I ran to the school and I saw there was unbearable heat and the students were crying for help. I looked for my daughter and I found her in the worst condition possible. Her skin was peeling off of her body and she pleaded, \"Oto-san, it burns\" and within a few minutes she collapsed. I was left giving up in despair but I knew she would find her place in heaven. 14 | THE PRIDORA | August 2022
WHAT AM I DOING NOW? In this volatile world, one intensely MANDALA ART needs patience and calmness in their overall temperament. Mandala Art as a leisure activity will avail your needs. Hello everyone, I'm Rtr. Noor Moquaddsa. Personally, I got introduced to mandala art through one of my friends, while I was applying henna on her hand. She profoundly told me that, why don't you try mandala, as it's quite similar to henna. After that, I tried making my very first mandala and it turned out to be pretty aesthetic. Gradually, it boosted my confidence. Apart from being a rich art style, a mandala is generally considered a form of therapy. There have been proven benefits of this art form, people have attained higher thinking and decision- making capabilities. It also works as healing therapy at times of depression and anxiety. I strongly recommend everyone to try it at least once in their lifetime, as it just involves simple lines and strokes repetitively, which when done precisely turns out to be a masterpiece.
