CLUB APRIL On 9th April 2023, The Rotaract Club of St. Xavier's College conducted Feel the Pain, an event under PROJECT CHUWAN at Rotary Hall. The members had to experience the effects of menstrual pain a woman goes through during her menstrual cycle through a period pain stimulator. On 9th April 2023, the Rotaract Club of St. Xavier's College, during the general meeting, appreciated club members, heads & co-heads for their amazing work throughout the tenure. Few club members were awarded with badges \"Stellar Performer' for their dedication and amazing work. On 12th April 2023, the Rotaract Club of St. Xavier's College conducted a session under Project Shiksha at Rajkiyakrit Tharpakna School, Ranchi. In Mathematics -Subtraction and addition and English- names of vegetables, revision of each month's name and names of week. From 15th April to 21st April 2023, the Rotaract Club of St. Xavier's College organized Rota Rush with regular events each day throughout the week. 06|THE PRIDORA | APRIL 2023

EVENTS 2023 The event conducted during the Rota Rush Week was The Finale League by Project Arjuna, the INKZzz calligraphy competition by the Art Team, the Poem writing contest by the Editorial Team, the Photography competition by Project Vayumandal, video making by the cultural Team, the Food Drive by Project Tript, a showcase of childhood photos by Project Chuwan. On 23rd April 2023, The Rotaract Club of United Ranchi in collaboration with Rotaract Club of St. Xavier's College, Team Green, Team Help and NCC conducted a cleanliness drive on the occasion of earth. The event started by cleaning of line tank lake followed by the cleaning of jail talab by the members. Members of NCC performed Nukkad to raise awareness. On 29th April 2023, the Rotaract Club of St. Xavier's College announced the Member of Month for March as Rtr.Shreya Dubey. On 29th APRIL 2023, the Rotaract Club of St. Xavier’s College announced the Techie of Month for March as Rtr. Akanksha. 07|THE PRIDORA | APRIL 2023

Rotaract has taught me that Improving oneself is a never-ending process, it doesn’t matter what you have achieved or what you have lost, there’s always room for improvement and I believe that this is what makes us humans. To be honest, I have no words to describe this Rotaract Journey, ups-downs, highs- lows, an experience of a lifetime. Every event had something in it, every event had a story to tell whether it be laughter or tears and it was beautiful. Now, as we see the end of our tenure, it’s almost heartbreaking thinking about no longer being a part of my family apart from home, RACSXC. Now it is up to you guys to take up the mantle and reach further heights. All the best Juniors! And Always remember, you will never have enough time, and there will always be hurdles in your way but remember that opportunity comes once in a lifetime so don’t let it go, make time for yourself, make friends, always be presentable and keep shining. POEM Empower In the caliginosity of night, under the cluster of stars, She sits questioning her life, away from the world that’s so bizarre. Resting her head upon her knees, contemplating her endless wars. Little does she know that she is a melody of peace in this sphere full of chaos. Confined in the breeze as saccharine as her existence, she looks for ways to manifest her goals. But Oh! How can this world be so injudicious, hardly it can acknowledge her favours, She’s way too precious. From infancy to adolescence, from the first step to the first resolution, She tirelessly endeavoured to appear fully-fledged, Bridging the gaps in relations at the cost of her tranquillity, Not minding their aggressions when falsely alleged. With the unfathomable intelligence of Athena and the unremarkable beauty of Aphrodite, She is a complete descendant of royalty whose name like a prayer even deities recite, With her perpetual benefactions, she strives for equality, to walk along with men, Irrespective of the existing conditions she seeks to bring this inequity to an end. It’s so outstanding of her to stay dedicated to both family and estate, Broaching all her greatness in one? No! POEM Just stay past another night! You’ll get past it for sure, Only If you know the reason, and so will you know the cure If there’s dark around and the darkness; makes you wonder You know there’ll be bright soon and the darkness; has to surrender! You met an accident and it made you suffer Rtr. Nikhil Jalan A proper first-aid and no more will that pain buffer! You failed a test You are worried; you are scared But you know exactly what went wrong And for next time you’ll be more prepared So, every pain that exists with its reason. It ought to have its solution. But those sufferings Which is experienced by few When you don’t know What’s troubling you When it’s hard enough For you to survive the hours You feel the need of something To fill your empty scars; When your bed is the only comfort And sleep is the only escape Surrounded by all dirt You crave your life to reshape. That unbearable heaviness you feel, All you can do is nothing but pray For yourself to heal.
