DRR - AIDE MESSAGE RTR. Himani Pandey \"My hope of the future lies in the youths of character, intelligent, renouncing all for the service of others, and obedient- good to themselves and the country at large.” - Swami Vivekananda Every age has its own charm, but Youth are very energetic and enthusiastic and are extremely ambitious. They always play an important role in nation-building but only when they get required support in terms of education, health, training and opportunities. Because today's Youth are tomorrow's innovators, creators, builders and leaders. They have the power to transform the nation into a better place. They also have the ability to lead their fellow citizens in the right direction. They are always engaged in learning, thinking, analysing, innovating, creating, gaining knowledge and as a result they are having new ideas to solve the problems. India is one of the youngest country where about 70℅ of its population are youth. Also it is suffering from lots of issues such as poverty, unemployment, population explosion, corruption, pollution, income inequality, crime, poor educational institutions etc. If we want to eradicate these issues, then we the young generation of our country need to take the charge. We have to come forward to stand against multiple inequalities and contribute to nation - building. Being the youth of the country, we have the power to unite individuals in various ethnic groups. We have the ability to create an identity for ourselves and the Nation as well. However, we won't be able to do so until and unless we're united. Swami Vivekananda has inspired countless generations of Indians. He was delved upon the capacity and capabilities of the youth, he wanted the youth to train itself in order to give service to humanity. And for this what do we need..?? We need infinite energy, infinite zeal, infinite courage, and infinite patience, then only will great things be achieved. Beware of everything that is untrue; stick to the truth and we shall succeed, maybe slowly, but surely.. We need to work as if each one of us are responsible for the work...!! As Swamiji says, \" Arise, awake and see her [ New India ] seated on her eternal throne, rejuvenated, more glorious than she ever was --- this motherland of ours...!! \" Jai Hind Regards, Rtr. Himani Pandey DRR-AIDE (2020-2021) | RID 3250 3| THE PRIDORA | AUGUST 2020
‘’ I Rtr. Parth, introduce before you all \"Project ACE\" under Professional Service Avenue. This project is focused on communication skill enhancement along with team bonding. Specially during this time of pandemic, when our other projects are suffering in our tenure I hope this project will be a game changer . ” In this project Club members are efficiently divided in 8 groups consisting of 9-10 members and each group is given a unique name. Each team has a separate Whatsapp group and each team has a Team Captain (will be changed after every month). The sessions consist of formal (called by the head/cohead) & informal ones (called by the team captain). Apart from the session, members are allowed to interact in a formal way within the group to build team bonding which would be beneficial since after 2 months we will begin the battle of the teams (from battle within the team it would transform to battle between the teams). Here two teams will compete each other on a shared Google meet platform. The winning team will be provided with 2 points and in case of draw 1 point to each team will be granted. A point table would be maintained and at the end of the tenure the team with highest points will be declared as Team ACE.

BOARDS Youth In Lead My Greetings to one and all reading this! Well, the theme for this edition feels home! You ask, why? Because its something that is our IDENTITY, and at the same time, our PRIDE- Being YOUTH! Well, it is said that the world's two most prized gifts are the 'love of a woman' and the 'beauty of youth'. While we always talk about women, today let's take this opportunity to talk about youth. Yes, Youth- ones who make a difference in the society and inspire others with their energy and enthusiasm. And just imagine, this energy, freshness, enthusiasm combined with empowerment and development opportunities. What a bang it would create globally! And have you ever wondered who actually youth is? It's nothing but You. I am not saying this. The word itself says so -'YOU’th . ☺ No wonder why youth is called as potential energy of a nation. I'll give you five reasons why youth engagement is a win-win proposition- Benefits young people, benefits adults, benefits organisations ,benefits communities, benefits future generations. What else one needs? And as it is said 'Charity begins at home', isn't it a pleasure, honour rather, to be a part of such youth centric organisation, Rotaract!? Remember, you are only young once, and if you work it right, once is enough. Proud to be a Rotaractor :) Rtr. Varsha Rtr. EDITORIAL SPORTS & GAMES Sports and games play a vital role in the harmonious development of an individual. Earlier, games and sports used to be considered as a means of recreation alone but now the importance of games and sports has grown beyond the fields of playgrounds. Sports is one of the best means to maintain the optimum health from childhood to adulthood. Sports provide alertness of mind, deep concentration and calculated movements which also helps us to release stress. Human character is developed by learning to balance among various body and mental faculties. Sports does us good in this regard. Today’s system is highly stressful and then our brain gets fatigued. A relaxed brain leads to deeper insight, sports contribute to enhance development through positive use of inherent energy to promote healthy body and mind. This National Sports Day, lets venture out and appreciate the sense of togetherness and belongingness of a community and of nations through sports. Rtr. EDITORIAL FRIENDSHIP DAY Humans are intrinsically social creature, who tend to make relations in order to grow the process of socialization. There have been numerous such folktales and mythical stories around the friendship shared by different people. May it be Mahabharata or Ramayana we witness the different aspects of friendship in both. So, to acknowledge this beautiful bond shared between us which doesn’t abide with any colour, cast or gender, the US dedicated a day to friendship in 1935. Since then every year friendship day is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month August. Initially, it was just a US tradition which has now spread to different countries and is vastly popular. And as children of the 21st century we certainly cannot forget the thrill of buying friendship bands a day prior and tie them on the wrist of our dearest friends. It was a mandate that needed to be followed by all of religiously. After all each and every one of us wanted the Joey to our Chandler, the Ron to our Harry and Rachel to our Monica! Rtr.
