Editorial 09| THE PRIDORA | NOVEMBER 2021 'Curiosity’, the word itself sounds quite mischievous but it is the reason for all happenings in the world. A child is curious, curious about everything, wants to get an answer till he experiences it. And there we can see the growth of child when he makes mistakes due to his curiousness and learns from it. \"A child is the father of man\", it is rightly said because in child we see the future man who is learning for a better tomorrow. A child who will be someone's brother, father or husband. But do we really work for a better tomorrow? To be a best man we burden ourselves with responsibilities resulting with our inner child getting lost. Man follows a routine which the curious him would have never thought that he would act with so maturity carrying the loads of responsibility. Materialistic, all are happy but the inner soul would only be happy when the character of the mischievous, curious child is brought back. So this Children day lets vow to keep the child within us alive. And club gives you all opportunities for keeping the child within you awake. Stay Hungry, Stay Curious. Regards, Rtr. Utkarsh Anand
Editorial 10 | THE PRIDORA | NOVEMBER 2021 Children who are well-educated contribute to the strength and stability of the nation. Perhaps every youngster should remember that as they're the future of a nation, they should instill virtues such as discipline, orderliness, cleanliness, ambition, etcetera. These ideals will help a youngster become a relatively good citizen. The child must be given the means requisite for its normal development, both materially and spiritually; The child that is hungry must be fed; The child that is sick must be nursed; The child that is backward must be helped; The delinquent child must be reclaimed; And the orphan and the waif must be sheltered and succored; The child must be the first to receive relief in times of distress; The child must be put in a position to earn a livelihood, and must be protected against every form of exploitation; The child must be brought up in the consciousness that its talents must be devoted to the service of fellow men. ‘Safety and security don't just happen, they are the result of collective consensus and public investment. We owe our children, the most vulnerable citizens in our society, a life free of violence and fear.’ — Nelson Mandela, Former President of South Africa - Rtr. Tushar Kumar
Poem 11 | THE PRIDORA | NOVEMBER 2021 I met a child I met a child, in daylight Who worked at a construction site. Drenched in sweat Working to earn a bread Without slippers and shirt His body was covered with dirt, I asked him do you go to school? He said, in my family that's not the rule. He further said, I was taught to work as I grew And studying was not my destiny I was taught, After meeting him I prayed O god do me a favour, - NIKITA SINGH That I get to see no child labour. Exclusive! 12 | THE PRIDORA | NOVEMBER 2021 Painting ‘To practice any art, no matter how well or badly,is a way to make your soul grow. So do it.’ -Kurt Vonnegut Hello, I am Rtr. Pallawi from St.Xavier's College. I am a person who solely believes in simple and creative living. Since my childhood I was always being connected to art, as I grew up I didn't get enough time to pay much attention to it but when the whole nation was shutdown and people were enhancing and recreating their skills even I thought to do the same and that's how decided to learn a new art form and that was textile painting and especially the Madhubani one. Madhubani art or Mithila painting is a famous art form of painting that has been originated from Mithila region of Bihar and hence named as Mithila painting. For me the best part about this art form is, it is done using natural pigments and dyes. With Regard Rtr. Pallawi
