POEMS FROM THE ROTARACTOR’S PEN MERCY HEROES - सघं र्ष “DOCTORS” यह जीवन है संघर्पष ूर्ष, जब तक मानव जजंदा रहता, सघं र्ष वो करता! To all the mercy heroes fighting out , जब मााँ के उदर मंे पलता, menacing your health en masse . Fighting to the hindmost , उठ खडा हुआ जब परै ों पर, you're bravest of all . The actual barter system plays on अपने मन की न कह पाता, when lord is exchanged with you all . The superheroes with no capes, अब घडी कठठन यह आई है, wearing scrubs and making way for us बडी मजु ककल हुई पढाई है, तब थाम के नन्हे हाथों to escape . When no spider men and powerangers खखल उठा तन-मन का उपवन,पर दर खडा है worked , लक्ष्य उसे पाने की खाततर, सघं र्ष वो करता! our mercy heroes turned up जीवन का लक्ष्य भी परू ्ष हुआ, leaving politics and canons , सब काम अधूरा, सम्पूर्ष हुआ, one religion worked up called अब सखु -दखु साथ तनभाने को, humanity. When everyone is quarantined, लौटा फिर से नया बचपन, you're working every time . पुलफकत हो उठा मन-आँागन, अब उनके भाग्य सजाने को, Fiction stories had super heroes जीवन मंे ज्योत जलाने को, संघर्ष वो करता! and in reality it's real mercy heroes. Either a fictional or real heroes has to जीवन का ठदन भी पूर्ष हुआ, escape us , यह प्रार् भी मजु तत पाने को, 24 into 7 secure us . FHJJKKJHGFYTFYFTT YFTFTYFYTFFUGYU WORDS OF ROTARACTOR Health is not just being free from illness and injuries but also is a state of physical, mental and social well-being. The World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year on 7 April. Initiated by the World Health Organization(WHO) since 1950, the objective behind the celebration of World Health Day is to raise global awareness on a specific health theme. Each year the WHO organizes international, regional and local events on this day related to a particular theme . The theme for the year 2020 was- SUPPORT NURSES AND MIDWIVES.WHO launched the first ever World's Nursing Report 2020 on the occasion of World Health Day this year . Putting their lives at risk, the healthcare staff has been continuously fighting against the pandemic COVID- 19 outbreak. Thus 2020 has been designated as the year of nurses and the midwives by WHO for the contribution they have been making to keep the world healthy. - Rtr Manpreet 9| THE PRIDORA | APRIL 2020

WORDS OF ROTARACTOR When we evaluate morality and immorality during crisis, these two things centralise towards essential resources like food and medicine. Right now, when whole country is affected by pandemic named COVID-19, availability of these things become more important than anything. In most part of the country even basic need i.e. food is out of reach from a large number of population. We can see that people are saying that \"hunger will kill us before the COVID-19 will\".Currently we can observe that migrants are forced to walk 500's of kilometers on their foot to reach their home because they are unable to get food in the commercial cities like Mumbai and Delhi just because of \"a dying man will do whatever he can to safe his life\".This lockdown period has completely blocked the sources of income, unemployment rate which is increasing on large scale. At the same time people are counting single penny while buying goods. And situation becomes more critical when we have no idea when will vaccine come to cure corona virus patients. Presently helping hands are the pillar of humanity. For example ,A man sold his land and two brothers withdraw their Hajj credit in order to feed poor during this crisis. After seeing this we should realize by ourselves that there should not be increase in price of goods so that each person can buy them easily. At the time of crisis, name and fame are the secondary elements but communal support and prayers will last long. - Rtr Akshay 10| THE PRIDORA | APRIL 2020

Editorial WORLD HERITAGE DAY World Heritage Day is observed every year on 18th April with an aim to increase awareness about the importance of protecting cultural diversity, preserve human heritage and recognise the efforts of organization working on it. Shared cultures, Shared heritage , Shared responsibility is the theme of 2020.These themes are decided by the International council on monuments and sites every year. Ancient buildings and monuments are an asset for us and for the world. After the latest addition to the UNESCO's World Heritage Sites list ,India has now 38 such sites of which 30 are cultural, 7 natural and 1 mixed . Cultural heritage sites include hundreds of historic buildings and town sites, and works of monumental sculpture or painting. National heritage sites are restricted to those natural areas that furnish outstanding examples of earth's record of life, provide excellent examples of ongoing ecological and biological evolutionary processes, contain natural phenomena that are rare, unique, superlative and outstanding beauty or furnish habitats for rare or endangered animals or plants or are sites of exceptional biodiversity. Mixed heritage site contain elements of both natural and cultural significance. To do the needful, collective efforts of the communities in the world is required. The day maintains the cultural legacy and make people think about it's susceptibility. It is the fundamental duty of every citizen to safeguard and respect the monuments and heritage and protect them. - Rtr Aishani 11| THE PRIDORA | March 2020

FROM BOARDS HEALTH AND SANITATION Adequate sanitation together with good hygiene and safe water, are fundamental to good health and to social and economic development that is why , in 2008 the Prime Minister of India quoted Mahatma Gandhi who said in 1923, “Sanitation is more important than Independence”. “Keep your own house and its surrounding pure and clean. The hygiene will keep you healthy and benefit your worldly life”. The social kiss is an exchange of insincerity between two combatants on the field of social achievement. It places hygiene before affection and condescension before all else” . - Rtr Akram Ali 12| THE PRIDORA | March 2020
