Introduction About Us We are Scotland’s youth-specific homelessness charity. We support 16–25 year-olds who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Last year, the Rock Trust supported over 500 young people to move on from homelessness or avoid it altogether. We help them to build better futures. And it all starts with people just like you. We advise, educate and support young people to enable them to build the personal skills and resources required to make a positive and healthy transition to adulthood. We work to ensure that the public, policy makers, commissioners and practitioners understand the issues, make decisions and take action which will help us to end youth homelessness. Our Thinking We believe that accommodation, support, education and employment are the best routes off the streets and away from the misery that accompanies homelessness, leading to a better future for our young people. Ways to become a Corporate Partner Charity of Choice Your company and employees can help change young people’s lives in Scotland. Partner with Rock Trust and we will work with you to make this your best charity partnership yet. Our corporate partnership team can help in the following ways: Work with you to plan your perfect partnership. Support your staff in their fundraising activities. Identify opportunities for your staff to volunteer. Assist you with CSR and PR activities. Fundraising There are now more ways to fundraise and raise awareness than we can count, helped by the sheer imagination of the internet and continually evolving digital platforms. Office fundraising is just the start (and a great start too). We are always on hand to help our supporters with new ideas and promoting their activities, as well as sharing the impact of every penny they raise. Challenge Events We have an exciting calendar of events to get involved with. Including guaranteed places for the ever popular Edinburgh Marathon Festival. We can also offer places on a range of other challenges throughout the year from fun-runs and walks to abseiling off the Forth Rail Bridge. There is something for everybody! Engagement Events We offer year-round opportunities to get closer to the Rock Trust and hear first-hand stories of our frontline work. We can also come to your offices/base to talk directly to staff about our work and the issues of youth homelessness. Learning and Development Pro-bono partners, Boundaries Edge offer quarterly learning & development opportunities at our Head Office in central Edinburgh. The Boundaries Edge team have backgrounds in the British Intelligence Services, UK Special Forces, and Fortune 500 companies. In-kind Support It isn’t all about money! You can support us with donations of food, clothes, toiletries, gifts…even furniture! There are many different types of donations that could make a huge difference to a homeless young person or a young person living independently for the first time. To find out what we need currently please get in touch. Page 7 Volunteering We are often in need of teams of volunteers for flat redecoration and green-space maintenance in Edinburgh and in West Lothian to make sure our flats are a welcoming home for new young people. Payroll Giving Be a life changer and help us #FixTheFuture through payroll giving. Tax-free giving direct from your salary is an easy way to support our work with young people affected by homelessness. All you have to do is let your employer know the amount you want to give and the frequency of the gift. Each gift will be transferred to Rock Trust from your pre-tax wage, tax free, without you having to do anything else. This method of regular giving is not only a great way to give but is also a fantastic way to ensure long term support for Rock Trust.
