Opening Hymn Abide with me 1. Abide with me; fast falls the eventide; the darkness deepens; Lord, with me abide; When other helpers fail and comforts flee, help of the helpless, oh, abide with me. 2. Swift to its close ebbs out life’s little day; earth’s joys grow dim, its glories pass away; change and decay in all around I see; O thou who changest not, abide with me. 3. I need thy presence every passing hour; what but Thy grace can foil the tempter’s pow’r? who, like thyself, my guide and stay can be? Through cloud and sunshine, Lord, abide with me. 4. I fear no foe, with thee at hand to bless; ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness; where is death’s sting? Where, grave, thy victory? I triumph still, if thou abide with me. 5. Hold Thou thy cross before my closing eyes; shine through the gloom, and point me to the skies;heav’n’s morning breaks, and earth’s vain shadows flee; in life, in death, O Lord, abide with me. .
Introduction Fr LijoLiturgy of the WordFirst Reading: 1 John 3: 1-2 - Cecil CollissThink of the love that the Father has lavished on us, by letting us be calledGod’s children; and that is what we are.Because the world refused to acknowledge him, therefore it does notacknowledge us. My dear people, we are already the children of God but whatwe are to be in the future has not yet been revealed; all we know is, that when itis revealed we shall be like him because we shall see him as he really is.The word of the Lord.E v e ry o n e sa y : Thanks be to GodResponsorial Psalm T h e R e s p o n s e * i s: Out of the depths I cry to you O LordOut of the depths I cry to you, O Lord,Lord, hear my voice!O let your ears be attentiveto the voice of my pleading. Holy CommunionThose not receiving Holy Communion are very welcome to come forward for a blessing. Hymn after Communion: This is my Body 1. This is my body, broken for you, bringing you wholeness, making you free. Take it and eat it, and when you do, do it in love for me. 2. This is my blood poured out for you, bringing forgiveness, making you free. Take it and drink it, and when you do, do it in love for me. 3. Back to my Father son I shall go. Do not forget me; then you will see I am still with you, and you will know you’re very close to me. 4. Filled with my Spirit, how you will grow! You are my branches; I am the tree. If you are faithful, others will know you are alive in me. Love one another-I have loved you, and I have shown you how to be free; Serve one another, and when you do, do it in love for me.
Eulogy Glen Colliss and Mitchell Davidson Final CommendationProcession to the final place of Commital Processional song: Amazing Grace 1. Amazing Grace! How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now I’m found, was blind, but now I see 2. ‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved. How precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed. 3. Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come. ‘Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home. 4. The Lord has promised good to me; his word my hope secures. He will my shield and portion be as long as life endures.
