General Estimating Rules Windows5.18 IN AO REGIONS If you have to include countertops in AO Regions, please delete them in the AO region cop- ies if they don’t change at all, this will keep scan from showing copies of the same counter- tops that are not needed. It will also help Quality Control identify which countertops changed throughout the options.5.19 UPDATING SCANS It is highly important to update all scans whenever a plan has changed. Techs and installers are using these scans to ensure that they are measuring and installing correctly. In this case countertop scans were not updated. This caused confusion for the techni- cian and was not able to measure countertop in allocated amount of time. Now we have to pay for a two day rush in order to meet builder lead time.5.20 STANDARDS PER NAME If you see the following names as standard countertops in any specs these should be marked standard Tresca Marlana Granite If you see these next ones, they should NOT be marked standard Royal Granite Cultured Marble Piedrafina

General Estimating Rules WindowsWINDOWS5.21 SPLITTING WINDOW COVERINGS If a window covering is over 96” it will need to be split. 1st Method is to simply divide the length of the window by 2 and having 2 windows with the same height 2nd Method is to divide the length of the window by 3 and having 3 windows at the same height Please keep in mind that your window measurements should always be in 6” increments.
