January Puppy Tails Groucho Groucho is an 18-month-old rescued ball of energy! He is just so happy to be in his forever home, all he can do is smile and run around doing his happy dance. Groucho is super smart, kind of like a smart watch- he knows exactly when it’s time to start herding his humans to the dog park. He is determined to train them well; they now know exactly when to grab the balls, jump into the golf cart and go hang out with all of Groucho’s friends! So far, he says, they are doing quite well. Make sure to give Groucho’s humans some positive feedback for a job well done! Azul Azul is another rescued puppy. He is a 6- year-old who is easily recognized by his one brown eye and one blue eye. This is a condition called Heterochromia, which is caused by a lack of the pigment melanin in all or part of one eye. Heterochromia in dogs is often hereditary, meaning it is passed through their genetic makeup. A sweet gentle boy, Azul was also very shy when he first started coming to the dog park; he would stay close to his human and quietly watch the other dogs playing. Now is is one of the gang and you can see him pulling his human along, saying, “Don’t be such a slowpoke! It’s playtime and my buddies are waiting for me!”
